I've just been converted. It was odd,I was playing through a tech21vt into hartke lh500 into a ampeg 6x10. then got myself a freshly retubed and serviced svt cl. First practice everything was noonish ( didn't have much time to fiddle)...... And I must say I was slightly disappointed in not getting the sound I imagined it would have! Read up a bit and was recommended to forget about the low/high boost buttons drop the bass to a quarter, trebble just past noon and mid 3quarters.... With the selector at 2.......tried it at the next practice... Pure beautiful sound :-) I play in a queens of the stone age esq band ( cgcf) and it cuts like a bitch

Chord do a 1mm nylon plectrum the same as dunlops on ebay £9 for 50, they are fantastico

I used a tech21vt bass into my hartke lh500's input with the eq flat ( lh500 flat that is) for a fair while before I got my all tube ampeg cl...... It was a fantastic punchy mix cutting tone :-) They seem to pop up quite often for around £85-95

I used 1 for making my moderate peavey head sound like a high end ampeg ( without the cost) + Consitant sound to front of house.

sold Chris a Boss lmb,he was super fast in paying. annoyingly the pedal had not reached him in 12 days! (royalmail signed and tracked with the code sent to Chris ),so i had to refund him today :-( during the wait and dissapointment of not receving the pedal Chris was an absolute gentleman and very understanding that it was out of my hands + was happyu to wait and see if it would turn up. its folk like this that make it a pleasure to trade on Basschat :-) won't be using royal mail again i think!

I was using it as amp-Vtbass-cog 66, vt as my primary tone and the 66 as my dirt( our songs are full of dirt needless to say ;-)) Just got me a ampeg svt cl, used the 66 with it on Sunday...,,.,.... wow! Fandabiedozzie!Never tried any with an active bass though? Imagine it would sound great.

just traded a microtubes for a tech 21 vt deluxe with Ryan..................could not have been easier :-) deal with confidence.

+1 on the 66. Or if your on a budget I used a digitech bad monkey that worked great with the vt
