From information about a Harmony H22 bass. http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/H22.php Really? That's not what I've heard.
I only wish the people that write this sort of tosh were actually there to play the same Basses I did. I'd love to be 13/14 years old, and starting off again with the type of equipment there is on sale these days. I'm constantly astounded at the levels of finish, etc. that are available for much less (in real terms) than I paid back then. Young'uns today-don't know they're born-I remember when it was all fields round here........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Hi All, I have only now noticed that during the bass solo of Alright Now by Free there is a run up half way through the solo. I have bought the Tab book music for this and its not been transcribed. I have been trying to make out whats going on but cant quite get it. Does anyone no what notes are playing to create the small run up?
Which bit do you mean? Pick some numbers from this, and it'll give us a clue.
Surely, what goes on tour stays on tour???? You never know who could be reading this!
Precisely!!! The Statute of Limitations probably hasn't run out on some of the stuff that I've done in the past.......and the Wife sometimes reads this over my shoulder.

Really chuffed that all went well, mate. I'll keep an eye out for the Band playing in future, and I'll pop along to slaver all over your Rig! -

Where abouts is the Gig? I'm at Nikhs in Blyth, which is around your area, so I could probably catch your Band between sets. -

I have to agree. It annoys me when I look at a picture of a Bass "upside down" from my perspective. I much prefer to see it as I would from an audience point of view, as if it was being played in front of me. I don't like the look of the logo on "redneF" Basses!

You could probably do with spelling 'attitude' correctly as well.

A better Bass than I have at the moment.
The main problem is now I feel very apprehensive joining other covers bands.
Don't be. Stick around Ginger Gits for a while, read the threads, and you'll soon find out that the "Losers" are few and far between. (We name and shame them as well.) Don't let your experiences with a bunch of tosspot Wannabees put you off. It's great up here. man! Quick edit for afterthought:- Stop telling everyone how great your Gear is, and how wonderful you are. It might be, and you might be, but it comes across as pretty arrogant reading. "Good Gear and loads of experience" sounds so much better. Just my two pennorth about the Geordie mindset.
Me too. I wonder if they've smelt a rat given how many registrations they've had in a short space of time.
Nope - it's run by one lad on his own, who works in an NHS Theatre. They've had quite a few emergencies recently, so he's been working overtime a lot, and just collapsing into bed when he gets home. If he gets a chance, he logs on during work hours on his posh phone, and ok's the registrations. Don't panic, everybody's welcome.
There's lots more in the loft, but more about that later. Heathy
I don't suppose you've got your Grandfathers 1962 Jazz up there, have you? (You'll "get" this if you've read any of the e-bay links)

Intermittent fault on my Ampeg amp head
BigAlonBass replied to Conan's topic in Repairs and Technical
If you're taking it to Jez to get seen to, don't worry about expense. He's one of the guys who DOESN'T take the p*ss when it comes to pricing. He did my old Trace amp last year, and I got it back quickly, working perfectly, for a VERY reasonable price. (It cost more for the flipping Diesel to get to his place-He's miles away from me.) -
