I have to agree. It annoys me when I look at a picture of a Bass "upside down" from my perspective. I much prefer to see it as I would from an audience point of view, as if it was being played in front of me. I don't like the look of the logo on "redneF" Basses!

You could probably do with spelling 'attitude' correctly as well.

A better Bass than I have at the moment.

Quick Google for Double Guitar Strap brought this and a few more up. http://www.darestrap.com/
The main problem is now I feel very apprehensive joining other covers bands.
Don't be. Stick around Ginger Gits for a while, read the threads, and you'll soon find out that the "Losers" are few and far between. (We name and shame them as well.) Don't let your experiences with a bunch of tosspot Wannabees put you off. It's great up here. man! Quick edit for afterthought:- Stop telling everyone how great your Gear is, and how wonderful you are. It might be, and you might be, but it comes across as pretty arrogant reading. "Good Gear and loads of experience" sounds so much better. Just my two pennorth about the Geordie mindset.
Me too. I wonder if they've smelt a rat given how many registrations they've had in a short space of time.
Nope - it's run by one lad on his own, who works in an NHS Theatre. They've had quite a few emergencies recently, so he's been working overtime a lot, and just collapsing into bed when he gets home. If he gets a chance, he logs on during work hours on his posh phone, and ok's the registrations. Don't panic, everybody's welcome.
There's lots more in the loft, but more about that later. Heathy
I don't suppose you've got your Grandfathers 1962 Jazz up there, have you? (You'll "get" this if you've read any of the e-bay links)

It is now, but it wasn't before. It's been moved.

Intermittent fault on my Ampeg amp head
BigAlonBass replied to Conan's topic in Repairs and Technical
If you're taking it to Jez to get seen to, don't worry about expense. He's one of the guys who DOESN'T take the p*ss when it comes to pricing. He did my old Trace amp last year, and I got it back quickly, working perfectly, for a VERY reasonable price. (It cost more for the flipping Diesel to get to his place-He's miles away from me.) -

I'd probably have been happier paying money to someone who could spell "whuppin'" properly.

Am I missing something? Fender P Bass, made by Warwick? (Always check what you've written before you post on e-bay.)
So is that Alnmouth or Amble? Oh and welcome to our newest Geordie... bout time we organised a little GTG to put names to faces.
Another one!?!? People will start to talk, man! (and it's Alnwick) [edit to show I'm a nosey old bastid]

For that price, I'd expect the E-strings to stay in their slots on the bridge!
You know what, I think you're right. I have a really busy life, but when I think of the time I waste because I feel I need to relax, I know I could be spending some of that time practicing.
I don't know if this is relevant (or even useful) to you, but if I have a few minutes to "relax" I automatically reach for my practise Bass. It's got a crappy little headphone amp permanently plugged into it so I don't bother anybody else, and I find noodling away in the corner rather relaxing in itself. I use these moments to run through some of the songs I play with my current Bands, and try adding different riffs, runs and the like to the existing arrangements. If they work-great, if they're rubbish-I haven't f*cked up trying them out at a Gig. I've also found that the simple act of having the Bass constantly in your hands helps you to "connect" with it more, so I don't have to think (too much) about what I'm playing on stage, which means I can dance around like an idiot and entertain the crowd a bit more than if I were a shoe-gazer. (IMHO) Like I say, horses for courses. It might not work for you, but it helps me a lot so it might be worth a try.
If you were prepared to post (at my expense obviously) this would be ideal for my daughter. She plays classical guitar and sings, but has started her first band (at 13) and can't find a bass player - they even have a drummer!, so I'm encouraging her to play bass and sing. This would be ideal.
Convert them to the low end while they're young - like it!
