Looks like USA from a few google references. Bit of thread from TB http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f8/fender-ja...edition-496764/
Yes it does, but still I have seen none with the serial 005XX. Do you know the proper email adress from Fender to where I send my doubt Cheers
You lucky boy, it's gorgeous! It looks like a Fender Japan JB66 but the headstock logo looks more 70s, but I can't recall ever seeing a 70s with a matched headstock. No info on the bass anywhere on it? Not on the neck heel? have you taken the neck off? I'm no expert but they will probably be along shortly
A friend of mine also says I should check the neck
It's a cheap woolworths special probably made in Japan with a Fender sticker . Go for about 50p on ebay. I'll do you a favour though and take it off your hands for a fiver (To cover the price of the sticker) . I jest of course. But surely with the Blocks, binding and headstock that has to be a Japanese, custom or a limited edition. 'tis rather nice too
Hi, I know now it is a limited edition, but still don´t know if it is USA or what ;o(

Hi I have recently bought a 1980 Ibanez Musician. This a great bass, but there is one small thing missing. The guy who sold it to me lost the Truss Rod Cover. If you have a "spare" one let me know or inform me where can i get one. Cheers Helder Luis

Fender 1976 Jazz Bass, Immaculate. ++SOLD++
Helderius replied to phsycoandy's topic in Basses For Sale
Great looking 1976 Jazz. All original, bar the scratch plate and the thumb rest, which came out of my bits box. Pickups are dated '76 as are the pots etc, original pickup and bridge covers including the mute. Finish is fabulous and deep, some very light belt rash on the rear and single small wear mark. The front is as the pictures, with a small wear mark where the peculiar metal scratch plate (which was fitted) has worn away the finish on the top horn a little. At some point the pickup cover has been fitted in the bridge pickup cover position, goodness knows why! so there is one extra lower hole in the body (see pic 6) and some wear where the bridge cover mounted to the body( again see pic 6), these are all covered by the bridge chrome cover. There are absolutely no other routs or screw holes. I have lots of pics of the nuts and bolts etc if folk want, just PM me for these and about any questions please. Obviously the scratch plate is not original, but bar that and the thumb rest, she is a absolute stunner. Weight is 10lbs 2oz on my scales. The sound is sublime, with no electronics issues at all. Some pics and a price at £1875. Comes shipped insured for £20 and a hard case as pictured.
What a great bass you have there
