1. I currently own a Radial Bassbone (first generation) which is a really good preamp. The DI sounds good, the EQ is fine and the channel switch is a really useful feature. But there are só many options I don't use in the pedal, I'm looking for something different. But which pedal to choose? Aguilar Tonehammer? EBS MicroBass (which has many many knobs as well)? MXR? I don't know... The features I need: -A boost function -A simple EQ -Maybe a subtle overdrive but that's not a must-have for me. Any opinions?
2. That would make my bass a 1914 Fender...
3.
No. Here's what the marks mean: "7" is the day, "Jan" is the month, "66" is the year (all when the neck was made), "A" is the 1 1/2 inch nut width, circle-12 is the QC mark http://www.bestbassg...signations.html
I knew about all the other marks, but the "14" is still a mystery to me. Is that QC as well?
4. So I have this gorgeous and fantastic 1966 Jazz Bass. I understand everything about that bass, except for one thing: the neck stamp: I know the 7 stands for a Jazz Bass neck, Jan 66 explains itself and A is the neck width. But what is that little "14" for? The employee?
5. So this is a band I wanted to have for a looooong time. And here it is. The EP is called "Memories of a Long Forgotten Kingdom", check it out on Spotify! And we've made a video for the single "The Pact": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-e_XIEpYGY
6. I sold the Road Worn Fender and bought a Lakland Bob Glaub yesterday. It's pretty cool if you ask me.
7. That would be great! It was Paul's phone BTW
8. I hope I can make it again this year, it was a blast to be there ánd to be back in London again. I love that city. And last year was pretty darn awesome. I do hope I can get a more decent place to sleep though. The hostel was fine but I was in a room with 6 snoring Japanese guys. So if anyone has a spare bed...
9.
Amazing how due to the different colour schemes, the RW looks bigger.
Well, what might also "help" is the fact that the neck of the RW is a lot wider than the '72. The '72 has a very small neck. Lovely.

Boy, that is a pretty Sadowsky...
11. For all Dutchies/Belgians/Germans/people who are in the area around that time: For those who wanna know what we do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In1f8H471eg
12.
In theory, these are the same colour.
And then there were three. Don't have 'em on one photo but here's the third. 1972.
13.
Check out my fresh recording rig:
And when it has to be LOUD:
14. I bought this beauty yesterday. '72, needed a setup but after I gave her one and with fresh Ernie Ball strings, she sounds and plays like a dream. What a bass. Amazing. So now I have 2 Precisions, Road Worn 50's P and the new '72.
15. Nah, that doesn't bother me at all. I do have some other options though, so might be checking those out first.
16. That sounds pretty darn decent... You're the same guy who sent me a message on the Dutch bass forums, right?
17. I'm looking for a '70s Precision and someone sent me this. Somehow it feels wrong. The tuners don't have a Fender logo, the neck/body connection looks off and I don't think Fender still put a strap button on the back of the headstock in '74... The only non-original part the seller will admit is a refin. Text in Dutch, by the way. 1974 Fender Precision Bass Fiesta Red - Te koop | 2dehands.be
18. I guess it does, but still I wouldn't buy it without hearing it first...
19. Wow... Sounds?
20. Check out my fresh recording rig:
21. Finally finished. Although.. I still have to fix something else for powering the Radial Bassbone. It works on 15V and the only way to power it I have now is a HUGE adapter. Curse you, Radial... Still, it sounds good. The Memory Boy might be replaced with something analog with tap tempo. But that seems to be quite an expensive thing to find, so this will do for now
22.
Wharfedale Lintons? Classic!
Bingo! I have a set of Diamonds in another room. Very cheap speakers but they sound great
23. Nice! How do you like the Lollar pickups? I have Nordstrands in mine but I'm hesitating about Lollars or Aguilars.
24.
Here's the new rig, couple of basses missing of course
Ah, the XS112 has arrived. Pretty decent
25. This colour is also nice: Or black: Really anything as long as it's not sunburst. One of these might be replacing my Squier in a while... As long as I can find one second hand.
