1. But, you know the internet rules: pics or it didn't happen
2. I had one of those. It was from 1988. At the time indeed one of the cheaper basses by Yamaha, but they're still amazing instruments! The buzz might be coming from a screw or something. Try holding some parts while the bass is buzzing.
3. Keep getting back to these: Although I have a cool P And that ís mine. That's just gorgeous. This pic made me want a Celinder for about 5 years. Now I have one. Mine as well
4. I'm left handed, right footed. I play bass right handed (which is also a bit due to the fact that my mom gave me a right handed guitar when I was only 5), drums left handed, football right footed.
5. I don't have a board yet (gonna order it next week), but these are my effects. I'm GASsing for a Big Muff. I'm gonna buy one soon.
6. I'm GASsing heavily for the Ibanez IDBB5 double bass guitar gig bag... But I don't know if my basses will all fit in it. My Cobelens & de Bruyne bass is quite big (it doesn't fit in my case but does fit in my GEWA gig bag), and it would be a shame if I bought an expensive bag like this and my bass doesn't fit... Does anyone have the dimensions for this bag?
7. And this is what my stuff currently is.
8. Actually you're all wrong. The tweed version has the most mojo and therefore sounds better. I have had these for a while now and had an Ashdown ABM500 EVO II and an Aguilar AG500SC (I still own the Aguilar) and they're the best sounding cabs I've ever heard. Honestly. About the optical illusion: you're right! Except on the last pic, the bottom cab seems bigger, but that, of course, is perspective
9. Bought this Squier VM Precision for €200,-, and installed a Gotoh 201 bridge, CTS pots, pickup cover and finger rest. Absolutely fantastisch Precision bass.
10. You can kind of see my amp and my Celinder on these pics:
11. Had a gig with my rock band last Friday: The sound sucked, but the gig itself was great! My Celinder through my Aguilar = heaven!!! And I had a gig with my jazz band last night, in a small restaurant in Amsterdam. Great gig as well Fretless Jazz Bass, easy jazz music. Lovely
12. Hi, my name is Hidde, I'm a GAS addict. I've owned 17 basses in 10 years, most of which I bought and traded in the last 4 years. I now have 8 basses, 2 amps and lots of other stuff. I'm still GASsing for a lot.
13. I think he had an argument with Lakland. They will probably have sacked him but they won't discontinue the DJ model, it's their most popular model. Maybe they'll keep building it with another name on it.
14.
You ought to be more worried about the drummer's face in that one
With this drummer? Nah, I've played with him for 10 years now, and he has worse expressions
15. But that isn't a bass face...
16. I found my Blade at a small music store for €400, roughly £350.
17. I think we all know them: bass faces. Let me see 'em! I seem to have a thing for it: And some oldies:
18.
Thats one serious bass face Think we should get a bass face thread started!! lol
A friend of mine once said: when you play something difficult (or something in general), you look like you smell your own farts and, secretly, like it. EDIT: Bass Face thread started!
19. And I like that Performer bass! Anyway, the Big Al may look a bit weird, but the sound is just Music Man.
