1. What was the sound like with the terror?
2. Heard it a few minutes ago, Thoughts with the family and all his friends. A real legend, will be missed!
3. I'd never pay that much for anything without playing one first, what kind of sound are you after? To me, the Bongo sounds alot like a smoother, and more versatile due to the monster EQ and cheaper Warwick, The 34" is good (I like both 34 and 35 so all good for me) but I don't really like the neck heel but thats all personal stuff, i didn't find it too heavey the few i've played. I'd say play one first though! I really enjoyed playing the HS version suited pretty much everything I threw at it! Also, why ordering one from the states? Out of curiosity,
4. Played a S/H Yamaha RBX375 and was blown away, ok not perfect but the B was a monster and it played really nicely, and sounded really powerful, great all rounder. Was only £200 as well,
5. My mum is in KL at the moment, (I'm half from the island!) Never transported an instrument on them, but always had decent service from the airline, i'd call someone and ask them directly and oraganise something in advance from experience travelling internationally! Have a good one!
6. http://www.thomann.d...retlessbass.htm £585 That is the GW35 not the GW1005 one though
7. Hartke LH, used by many in rock, soul and blues and metal! Nice powerful, not too heavy (not exactly lightweight though) and sits nicely well within your budget! The LH500 is enough for most situations but the added outputs of teh LH1000 and power if you need it is nice!
8. I like the new Laney stuff...
9. If i get this situation from a deal gone wonky sorted I'll have this the moment I do!
10.
maybe financial trouble has got the better of him, and he has no internet, or possibly worse..... If he used to post semi regular, than fraud seems to be unlikely. How much, do you mind me asking, did you give him for the pedal?
£60 I'll PM a mod, And Bigwan yeah, still got the details he gave me. Hopefully things will work out!
11. Well, I had some faith in it, considering he'd been posting semi-regularly on here. It was a striaght up bank transfer, think I'll PM a mod and ask them for any help they can give, I'd been suspicious since teh lack of the replies, by suspicuous now I mean to the point where I am going to take more action Also other BC's had delt with him before and all seemed on so I was more inclined to give benefit of the doubt
12. Is this still for sale? Tempted to bite the bullet after my exams, though delivery/re-tube would probably go out my budget
13. Starting to feel suspicious of this now, any advice?
14. These are great basses real sleepers in the world of bass, Can really thunder and roar but also sound crisp and funky!
15. Played one of these the other day but it was tuned B-C like a normal 6 string Awesome basses and really easy to play. And as a non fretless player I found it an easy way to test the water as I got more confident playing up high and fretless haha! Bumpo for a great bass!
16. Any Idea how much carriage would be? or is it out the question?
17. This is gnawing at my mind every hour! Bumpo on me!
18. This should be in the "wanted" section. Also have you done a search on here?
19. Wish i'd known about this sooner could have made the Edinburgh show, Ah well, best of luck with it all!
20. I'm similar, but as a naff singer need to concetrate alot on both haha! Who grinds my gears? Troy Sanders and Billy Sheehan, ripping at the bass, in quick licks, odd time signatures and modulations, all while singer over it! Practise makes perfect I guess!
21.
I went back a couple of pages but couldn't see anything. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll go hunting! They're up on Thomann.de/gb for £332, on DV247.com for £399 too, both new.
Just saw it on Thomann! Andy's review is really good, i'm sure he wouldn't mind if you pinged him a PM!
22. Have you searched for it on here? There are a few big threads on it on here Andy67 did a review i believe, also where have you seen it for that price? Or was that second hand? Just for curiosity sake!
23. Saving for this! Hopefully my finances take a lucky turn soon, this will go perfectly with my 676!
24. Wish i could afford this!
25.
As if by magic, the dude arrives! Yup, ive written a review here on BC (in the reviews section) and my colleague also did a video review in issue 7 of iGuitar magazine that i write for.
