1.
Watched Blur 'the singles' gig on Sky Arts last night. What was Alex James using? A Stingray into an SVT 2 Pro with 8x10 'fridge'. But hey, what does he know! He sounded awesome by the way, but the amp was probably off or just a cardboard cut out of it just for show. Like many have told me, he was probably just going straight into the mixing desk through a £100 di pedal.
Well, he HAS called him self a bass playing cheese idiot 20 pages still going.. only reason i haven't gone to bed yet =S
 2.
The Duff McKagan Signature model has a jazz neck.
Actually its a custom size, its more P-bass to my hands, Swapping the necks it quite easy is it not? as they are the same ummm measurements? In the pocket and what not
 3. Its not a precision, its just a 50's Tele bass i think! These are FANTASTIC, i played one last week and loved it, though they are to taste, Also would sound perfect if you want to be like sting hah!
 4.
Could I get a pic of the pickups? Cheers
Me too! Ta!
 5. Wow! A B2! I'd love it, i wonder what the reserve is? Who ever bid £50 is a joker, Though i'd rather one in white Plus i need a new amp like, if i'm right these are around £1800-£2200???? new?
 6.
I love the yams, really regret the muang, that got stolen in transit to scotland by the Royal Fail!!!!
I love the Yamahas too! I don't get out my city much but if i hear anything about the Myung I'll let you know, real shame! Any reason for selling them all? haha!
 7.
Is it a Dimarzio that goes in the Yamaha Attitude basses? Thats the best one, I reckon.
Yup Though the willpower split P on its own isn't great for use in a band as its kinda thin but very very clear "growly" to some ears too, I'm a huge dimarzio fan, part of why i bought an Attitude, The Modle P or the split P for me, Oh i do like the Seymour Duncan SPB-1, not the SPB-3 though, and i'm not sure why...
 8. Hey Mate! What is it with you and great taste in Yamaha Basses! If only i had any money! X_x best of luck with the sale!
 9.
Yep, I tried to buy one the other day, had to be put on order. The next monday I got a call saying that it had been discontinued and replaced by the 424's et al. Zach
Dang! The 424s are almost £100 more, ah well, hopefully a 414 in MO will be on here son enough, are they still making the 414x?
 10. If i'm right, (i hope i'm not!) That they are no longer making these! the 414/5s Which would be a shame as i would love a metallic orange one like that as they are being completely replaced by the 424/5s as alot of places no longer stock the 414/415 and say they are no longer avalible?
 11. Whats the tone of the peavey like? and how powerful is the EQ? Might be interested after i shift some stuff, and if this is still around for a while! haha, failing that this is a free bump
 12.

That time i fell over Its offical, best forum on the interweb BC is

 17.
You might want to work on a few runs here and there but I wouldn't start out by trying to play more. When you get around to playing live you will find that the energy of the gig will add a little to your playing. If you start too complicated you run the risk of totally over-playing in the live situation. Your playing style reminds me of mine. I'm normally so laid back I could do with a mattress. Quite often, though, I embellish lines during a gig, mostly to tick off the guitarist.
Thanks for the advicev we've been asked to gig already and we don't have a name! Its for a friend though, People have said its odd that a Prog metal bassist/Hard rock player such as myself plays so laid back, but its just what feels natural Maybe we should try playing while lying on mattress haha thanks again!
 18. Ph btw the guitar solo was improvised, i've been told i HAVE to tell you all that! ha, next track may have a better/busier bass line and a bass solo MAYBE And will be putting the Attitude to real good use, and we're not sure about a singer yet BTW i know these guys, the drummer is a good friend and plays guitar in a swing band we're in (i play trombone and The guitarist plays french horn in the same orchestra as me, plus we're school pals
 19. Hey Guys Please check out my new band, the video is from about an hour after we met up, after out a few things we each had together, and is in an Attic so i don't have my full rig as its about 20 miles from my house =S Please tell me what you think of what i'm playing, am i under playing? As it felt like it a bit at times, if so how can i improve this? As we may re-do the track soon, and please suggest band titles haha Keep in mind i had played in two days and was very nervous, haha (i'll make these excuses all day like the not exactly as planned slide at after the intro X_X ) Thanks in Advance! A.C NEW BAND VIDEO ON MY YOUTUBE ACCOUNT Capitals make you clever...
 20. I've met Alan Moore He lives right near only a few doors from my grand parents and went to school with my dad, albeit my did wasn't kicked out for selling LSD haha! and they were 5 years apart Thought when i met him i was too nervous to do anything =S I'm actually trying to design a rorschach pattarn bass xD it'll be made in 50 years at this rate though haha Erm, anyway back to the bass! (i have three copies, one is infront of me right now )
 21. If i'm ever down, and youb still own this, i'll take it off ya! Oh wait money... haha! Oh well, bump on me!
 22. Ah! Sale fell through, back up bump!
 23.
Sure. It may also be for sale soon tempted by a svt vr!
Unless i can have it for a bowl of peanuts and a fiver, don't think i can afford it! haha, Ummmm if you get an SVT VR can i try that too? haha! Your welcome to try my gear when i get some stuff worth usuing haha!
 24.
Well there is a Locke thread in the for sale section... Don't know how like the the bass of doom it is like though.
I saw that not sure whats going on there but maybe have a snoop later...
Although my guess would be it would be made with out the capacitor/resistor(I literally know nothing about the bass sorry) as I doubt adding it and then remov would be the key to the tone.
You never know! PLus it would be nice if they did! haha it would make me feel warm and fuzzy
I do know a bit about pots. 500k generally let through more highs, and with single coils can make the bass sound a little brittle - they a more commonly used on Gibson/epiphanies with humbuckers, as humbuckers generally suck a bit of high in ten effort to buck out the hum. 250k pots chock off some highs, an a more common with fender and single coils as they fatten up the sound a single coil puts out. I wouldn't use 500k pots on a jazz, especially with 70s pickup spacing as it can sound very dry and brittle on the high end.
Thanks very much!
 25.
Oh dear, this'll open up a can of worms
My favourite I'm just curious is all! It seems a very lovely bass (i've seen one from behind [s]bars[/s] glass) Just wondering if they went all the way with re-creating the Jaco bass, it would certainly be worth it if they did/do! Eh, Worth it if you want it and have the money mind you! (BTW I'm a HUGE watchmen fan )
