Lol, Syncronicity - http://basschat.co.uk/topic/164929-expressionator/

Hello Basschat, I've just ordered one of these - http://www.jeanbaudin.com/expressionator/ http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/coming-soon-expressionator-797290/ I think it's a fantastic product for anybody who utilises one or more pedals with Expression inputs...(Calling Pantherairsoft) Really well considered product, that adds some cool functionalty, as well as saving pedalboard space. They aren't shipping into the UK as of yet, But I've got one on pre order that will be delivered via a friend in Early/Mid February. If you want to get in on an order let me know and we can sort out getting one added to my order, and I'll forward onto you. You can then save a bit on international carriage and avoid any import duty!!! I'm not in any way afilliated with them, I just think it's a great product, by a small start up company who I reckon could bring a lot to the pedal world so I think they need supporting.

I've ordered three pedals direct from Taylor. Great service and communication and I'm really impressed with the pedals

Lol, I posted a nice long reply last night about MIDI jitter when using lots of program/control changes, and the lack of any real note data priority. But the site bombed out on me I also think it would be silly of Moog to drop CV, as it's always been so central to the company, and they'd be coming to the MIDI party 20 years to late anyway! I'd be all up for a new, more solid MIDI replacement, but I doubt we'd ever get consensus between manufacturers like they did with MIDI. I also doubt there is a wider interest really, what with most hardware based instruments and effects being (in many ways) overtaken by software. We needz moar CV!!!
-
I'd be surprised if Moog abandonded CV totally in favour of MIDI. I'm just surprised MIDI is still the only standard after all these years. @ Pantherairsoft Where did you get the Cluster Fux from ? I spoke to Source and they said the first batch was all sold

There is the Dubscope pedal from co pilot - http://www.copilotfx.com/dubscope.html I went the Moogerfooger route

Bass Direct has some B3K's in stock, RIGHT NOW!!! Be quick though, He only has a few left from this first batch. I just got one delivered yesterday. Haven't had the oportunity to have a play through it yet though.
Are you doing clips of the Frantabit? I'm really happy with my Bugcrusher but I'd like to hear the bitcrushing side of the FB just to find out what I'm missing.
Hi, Yep I'm going to endeavor to do some clips this weekend (if it's a rainy as suggested anyway) there are already a few clips up on Youtube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzWUZz_O9vM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5G2XzQt7vE...feature=related Some clips also on the Frantabit thread over at TB. I'll do something a bit more abstract probably.
Get the Moog EP-2 expression pedal if you haven't got one already! Works great with the Xero.
Oh yes indeed, they should be mandatory. I'm upto 4 EP-2's now, 1 each for the Xero and Frantabit, as well as two for Fooger fun via a CP-251, never mind the Ernie Ball pedals for the Eventides. I might have to build a board just for volume and expression pedals. I'm beginning to get swamped in cable spaghetti, so much so, I'm thinking of replacing the fixed EP-2 cables with a female socket, and using my own normal cables to connect the EP-2.
I've just picked up an Oxide fuzz . Let us know how you get on with the Filter , cause I recon they'd be a good match . BTW how much were they each , and how much more were the charges ? Paul .
Hi Paul, I have an Oxide, and think it's a very cool Fuzz, which is quite different from my other (mainly Muff based) Fuzz pedals. You can see the pricing details on the Iron Ether site - http://ironether.com/pedals/ I got raided for £42.83 Import Duty/VAT and ParcelFarce "Handling Charges" plus they sat on the pedals for about 9 days, so I only got the pedals 13 days after dispatch. This is the added pain of any potential pedal purchase from outside the EU coming into the UK, irregardless of the pedal maker. These are well worth it though I think.

Ah Ha, Just landed - Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe Envelope Filter and an Iron Ether Frantabit Sample Rate/Bit Reduction monster. Glorious. Still a bit "Chaffed" by the Import Duty / Parcel Farce handling charges.

Ah Ha, A Fandabidozi Flanger/Chorus. I was right after all! And I didn't even have the insider dealer gossip at that point.

Just saw this last night - http://www.moogmusic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=11518 Looks like a new model is imminent, wondering what it is ? Chorus/Flanger or a good spec Oscillator/LFO combo ?

I recently purchased a Supercollider and SFX Split & Mix from Dan. All good stuff and delivered in good time.

In computers, Latency is dictated by the type of audio interface used and the quality of the drivers the manufacturer creates. USB soundcards have larger inherent latencies compared to a PCIexpress based soundcard. So Logic will be no better or worse compared to Reason, as it's predominantly a hardware issue as opposed to the make of the software. Your system should be fine for recording. The Behringer might sound ok, but it's flimsy plastic and Behringer has poor quality control, so I wouldn't want to rely on it.
You just have to purchase direct from Hexe. Drop him an email. I'd love to get my mitts on that Revolver pedal as well.
This is what it's like at the moment: On the way are a Copilot FX Dubscope "Deluxe", Orbit and a TC Electronics tuner. A custom LPF fitted into a expression pedal enclosure is almost ready. Then I might need a normal overdrive or distortion pedal since I haven't got anything like that Oh yeah, might have to upgrade to a Pedaltrain Pro when those pedals arrive...
I want that Hexe Bitcrusher!
