You are 100% right Old Man Riva............................as I am the proud owner of an original February 1964 Fender Jazz Bass which does indeed have the "F" stamped on the ash tray, I purchased the bass in 1965 and I can assure you are correct. I would say this Bass does not seem to have seen much action and looks in very good condition for the year.

I've got this cab it's the business..........................I've had all the top bass cabs but this is the best and a good price too...................have a Bump on me.
