    A question for the tech nerds out there... In relation to separate preamp and power amp... Line out from preamp 100ohms impedance, 0dBv nominal. Line in to power amp 22kohms impedance 0dBu nominal. Effects return is 600ohm, so a possible alternative to the line in. Is it better to run a 100ohm line out into a 22kohm line in or a 600ohm effects return ?

    Maybe I'm a massive headroom/power junky, but I found the TD650 to be just slightly lacking in power compared to what I'm used to...and that was running at 2ohms.

    Class D though init. Also, one of the bits I love is the bright knob, which none of the pedals have (I know there's a switch but clearly you can't control the amount).

    Well my plan was to plug a line out from much less powerful class D amp with a preamp that I adore into the effects return on the LH1000, to get the best of both.

    Those who know, know. Still one of the best amps ever made - was in The Dood's top 5 amps until the new 2700 quid EBS 802 took it's spot. I've recently owned and moved on the Reidmar 752, and in comparison, this is all the things people who compare class A/B to class D amps say - it's richer, thicker with greater note heft and at least as much punch and clarity.     Nice bloke, totally trustworthy and a pleasure to deal with. Drove for a couple of hours to meet for a trade deal. Paid half for repairs when the amp had some minor issues. Top guy to deal with.
