    Don't know anything about the PX5D so can't compare.. For the money, the Pandora Mini is great - some crazy tones but some good ones too.. I haven't even tried any of the rhythms etc. yet. - I plugged in.. found a decent tone.. connected iPod.. and have remained there since! I liked it that much.. I bought another one to leave at work
