1.
Jammed it last night at rehearsal and I played disco style octaves which actually suited it. Of course non of the musical ludites noticed my musical brilliance :-)
I like your style I tend to play as many chromatic runs as I can. Because.
2. Sweet Home Alabama. It's been played to death and I never really liked the song in the first place. However it's a no pressure crowd pleaser and I use the opportunity to prove my theory that you can get away with playing any note at any time and nobody will notice I still moan like a bugger if anyone suggests it though
3. I would never have gone for that colour scheme...but that looks lovely! Congratulations
4. Just want to add my congratulations to WoT...great job
5. I've just fitted an Aliexpress £2.99 mint scratchplate to a tele guitar copy. It fits (pretty much) and 3 of 8 of the holes lined up It's also a slightly slimey looking mint green. However... £2.99

7. All the pedals I use are Chinese clones In fact I'm planning on selling a couple of Boss pedals which don't get a look in! And I have a Digitech compressor which sounds great but is way too noisy.
8.
Yeah the Blues Driver appears to have become a vital component in the gain paths of so many pedal boards with tube screamers! The Metal Zone fattens up strats very nicely as well if you're looking for OTT gain. Simon Neill in Biffy Clyro uses it as an essential part of his set up.
Did you see the episode of That Pedal Show with Simon Neil? Very interesting I use a Nux OD-3 which is a Chinese tubescreamer clone. I tend to use it with the gain and the tone quite low and use it more of a boost. It works well enough for me...especially since it cost £14
9. I realise I haven't actually congratulated Alex so....congratulations! As an early adopter of Barefaced I feel special and I should be treated accordingly. Seriously though, well done mate <tangent>John Entwistle. I think he was the perfect bass player for The Who and the band wouldn't have been the same without him. However I don't get it. Especially in later years he had probably one of the worst bass tones I've ever heard in my life and his clickety clackety, typewriter falling down stairs style does absolutely nothing for me.</tangent>
10. Haha. Well...mystery solved. And I can only summise that the crooked control plate is part of what makes it look, play and sound so awesome (for a £130* guitar) *including gig bag.
11.
I'm done now...
No you're not.
12. Ooh...congrats! I'm sure you will both be very happy together! More details when you get home please
13. It's far more about behaviour than gear for me. Get there early. Set up quickly. Stop noodling. Dress appropriately. Be polite and helpful to the event staff. Be absolutely ready to go once the drummer starts counting in. All basic stuff but it makes a difference.
14.
Is it just me or is the control plate slightly out of alignment with the bridge plate? Could just be the way you've taken the photos, but even so... Not a problem even if it is of course...
You know it probably is just the picture. However I am not going to check just in case EDIT: I checked, It's crooked
15. He stole it? I always knew he was a wrong'un. (Lovely guitars btw)
16. There wasn't all this fuss when I bought a Compact
17. It's finished! New nut, new saddles, new tuners and a set up. Plays and sounds great The new nut seems to be slotted for 11s so I needed a bit of tin foil to stop my 10s rattling around
18. Moar pics.... (Sorry for the photos...my phone doesn't seem to let me rotate photos at the moment!) Scratchplate painted black with Plastikote...and a US Marshal badge pinned on the strap Headstock of the slightly hooked variety. SX seems to have been through a variety of headstock shapes...I don't mind this one.
19. Seeing as I am playing modern country...should I go for a Keith Urban look?
20. The whole range looks very tasty!
21. You'll cope. EDIT: Ok, I have relented. Here is a crappy phone pic that tells you almost nothing. Don't ask too many questions. It's a work in progress
22. Nut fitted Come on saddles!
23. Stage 1: Fit locking tuners and seat a few errant frets...complete. Are you excited?
24. I do like a zero fret. I considered doing one on this tele but I would only balls it up
25. I've covered loads of songs that I've never even heard the original of. I used to turn up at rehearsal and the guitarist would say he wanted to do some dodgy old rock song. He'd tell me the chords and we'd jam it out. Then we would just gig it. I never even felt the need or desire to listen to the originals. Mind you, it turned out I had been playing a Who song for years and I had no idea So pretty much everything I play is wrong
