  1. First string change since Paul built the new body and I couldn't resist having a look in the control cavity. I still have the old cavity cover.

  4. The courier has just left leaving this behind. 29 years old this month and one new body later here is my Ian Waller built black poly with a new Paul Herman birdseye maple body. The black neck and hardware look superb with the body.

  5. I am in my Saturday morning hungover intolerant phase. :)

I have been a subscriber to SBL for a few years and have got great value from my subscription. I think Scott is a great player and educator and would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn bass. He did a great set of lessons on how to read charts which I have watched repeatedly. I think I just need to unsubscribe from his YouTube channel and stay within the refined walls of SBL where his persona is very different.

  6. The cello suites and violin partitas are essential listening. The prelude to cello suite No. 1 is a great piece to learn.

  7. Couldn't agree more. My reading was functional at best but I still got tremendous value from it. I have been without my bass for several months while it is being rebuilt by Paul from Wal and I have have taken the opportunity to work on reading and transcriptions. I am nowhere near being a decent sight reader yet but am light years better than I was just a few months ago.
