1. Ill happily attend with Dan and Kev again!
2. Is this Mr Veall's old beast J? Cool rig
3. Ive got a '72 Triumph and its a splendid bass. More controls than anyone actually needs, unique (particularly for the time) features like lo/hi output mode... Pase in/out selector etc. With the right EQ set up on the bass alone you can get a Precision-y sound, a middy sound, the Gibson Mud Sound... lots of options to tailor your tone. Of course, even though Gibson made these... everyone still bought Fenders!
4.
Here's Cliff with his (modified with a humbucker at the neck)
Ahhh... Awesome pic, legend! I wont be doiny any DIY "improvements" on my bass though I think he stuck a J Bass Bartolini in the bridge PU position too... Did like experimenting!
5. Why the scale down mate? Love the WHL road sign too
6.
Looks great in that colour - very Cliff Burton
cheers Clarky, that's exactly what i like to hear! :-) Fonky... Not sure what you mean buddy? This aint for sale if that's what you were after..l ;-)
7. My 4001 is weak on the E, but my 4003 is very very loud with the E. Oddness. Ive never seen a Shine take on the Ric before... Interesting
8. This is at the wrong time for me sadly. Out of curiousity, whats the difference between the Classic and the RH450?
9. Haha -cheers Dan, you know you are always welcome to come round for biscuits and tea! I think you`ll like the bass as well
10. This is a steal for an AV... Awesome cab
11. Cheers Greg, much obliged! I didnt think you were still interested in the Les Paul tbh mate...? I may move it on, dunno yet... Ive had some interest in it from a friend who lives very close to me. I haven forgotten you now though!
12. That has to go in the "cool" section on the Cool Wall. Price point is a little off though imo.
13. £400 for the best cab ive ever heard? Madness,I tell thee, madness. Someone, please buy this man's awesome cabinet. Presume this is one of the USA versions?
14. £408? For TC Stuff? Bloody hell, I think I know what my next purchase will be... saves me lugging the Ampeg Rig O' Doom about...

SOLD!!!

My third post on this thread, honestly... as Lozz says, this should be WAAAAY gone by now. Interesting it also has the somewhat sought-after split PG, not something you see very often (must have been an early 80's thing, my '82 has the same? Ric aficionados im sure can enlighten us)
17. Thats a cool MM Neil, nice one! My one had a similar story... picked it up about 5 years or so ago all sanded down to the wood and in desperate need of some TLC. It came out the other end looking like this : I used it live for a while, but that crappy pickup Fender put in there in the first place really didnt cut the mustard. An SD pickup sounds like a fine choice to get it "out there" and heard...
18. Hey buddy! The finish really is to die for, the seller's pics truly didnt do it justice. Its a deeeep Burgundy but you can see the grain of the wood through it, proper lovely. I feel rather lucky getting hold of it, to be honest! Neck wise, it could just be me but this feels a little fatter than the newer ones...? If it is, it really isnt by a lot. The major difference between this one and my last 4003 is that these were before the VT push/pull switches became standard... not that I used that an awful lot anyway, would be a "nice to have" though.
19. I do love a bit of Mr Chancellor's work every now and then. Vicarious... what a tune that is. If the new stuff sounds like that, then im in.
20. Finally, my quest for BurgundyGlo ends, due to the help of a certain BC'er - Godber, I owe you a pint mate! Another fine example of BC members helping each other out. To cut a long story short, I had to part with my (new) 2011 JG Ricky after it developed a paint fault. The shop were fab about it but the distributors were not... it could have been a long wait for a new bass, and they werent going to commit to when it would arrive... soI had to give up and get my cash back, which was something I really really REALLY didnt want to do (see my review of said bass in the reviews section). However as they say, when one door closes... etc... Most people on here who know me know of my deep rooted obsession with BurgundyGlo since I first picked up a bass. The cream (previously white, its old) Ric I own was bought cos I simply couldnt find a BG one at the time. And then, this turned up at a dealership in Germany, oddly. Its a 2002 Ric in the rather rare BurgundyGlo finish, which was colour of the year then... dont think Ric do COTY anymore which has made this quest all the more difficult. All the case candy is there (unopened Ric cloth and un-sent off warranty card, lol). It has a couple of very small nicks here and there, no more than about three... but its a ten year old bass so its hardly surprising. Have a look and see what you think - for me its the perfect bass in sound, looks and weight. Cant wait to get it out and gig it! Cheers - Stag

25. I believe your band supported mine at the Brickies a couple of years ago, but your profile pic looks different to the bassist i saw that night?
