1. I forgot my bass once, my very point defretted aria pro explorer... Lol... Hard to miss in a room!
2.
I'm sold on anything with maple neck and black blocks and binding
+1 I think this is the reason im GASsing for a Geddy Jazz...
3. Lovely bass again from you sir. However... (you know what im going to say).... .... ....thats two basses in a row without the addition of a lady in the pictures...sob... lol
4. Hot damn! Lovely Ric. If it was Burgundyglo id already be sat outside your house in Scotland
5. Glorious! That's a working man (or lady, ahem)'s bass for a very very very good price. The cases alone go for nearly 200 nicker new...
6. Schallers on mine, fits perfectly on my Ric 4003.
7. I need a new strap on..... my bass. I have a bit of history with a dodgy back / sciatica and I dont think my current strap (lovely leather branded Ric one) is doing me any favours. Can anyone out there point me in the direction of a good comfort strap? The only one ive found so far that looked proper nice was the Gibson Fatboy strap, but that was £80 which methinks is somewhat excessive for a small piece of cow exterior.
8. Bargain alert!!!!!!
9. I cant see anything either...
10. I have exactly the same, USA built... Easily the best cab ive ever owned. They may be rather large but they are surprisingly portable, roll bar on the back makes it a doddle to move about.
11. I heard Kev's HyDrive last week at a gig which he got from Dood, and was amazed at the bottom end these produce.... Staggeringly loud cabs that weigh about as much as a fart! And of course you can buy with confidence from Dood, although dont believe anything he says about cake, he's after your biscuits, fact! ;-)
12. LOVE IT! Its like by two Rics rolled into one! Even the same year as my 4001. great price sir, this shouldnt be about long.
13. He is about 100000000% better than me at slap, fact. I think the tech is obviously there but tonally its all around the tonic, which is what I do, very badly. Most audiences ive seen just dig the bit from 4.10, really.
14.
Hurry, hurry, hurry - a battle-scarred Kasuga advertised with the R-word: http://www.ebay.co.u...5#ht_500wt_1041
......aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand GONE lol
15. I havent got the time to read 36 (!!!) pages of stuff but I learned "Think!" at the weekend and now cant stop playing it on me P with flats. Lovely stuff. Room to impro as well, do like a bit of that!
16. Just the kind of thing I want but im probably going to have to go down the Geddy Sig route for financial reasons! Beautiful bass chap, good luck with the sale.
17.
Pics aren't working for me, anyone else got the same issue? How's Sidmouth this time of year? (I'm an ex-Seatonian).
Not working for me either...
18. There was a little drop down thingy at the bottom right of every page on the old version that let you skip back to a parent forum, could we have that back please oh lovely mod chaps? Handy feature
19. I was after one for my Les Paul but never bothered in the end. Lots available on USA eBay if you have a gander as someone else has rightly pointed out.
20. Pure s3x - the singer in my old band has a '76 of this in the same nick / colours scheme. Truly lovely
21. Handy stuff to know... shame they are muddy then! I might have to think again... perhaps look next year on the vintage market then... shop around...
22. No one own one of these? Im surprised given the attractive price point...
23.
I've only had one experience buying a bass from V&R myself and it was all very pleasant, the prices can be pretty "optimistic" but I guess thats the way they work and it doesnt mean you can't discuss it with them. I'd happily go there again.
Absolutely the same experience I had which I mentioned on the Denmark St thread. Would be more than happy to deal with them again. After sales service was excellent also. Never had a problem trying out anything ive wanted to, and I dont look like a dude with loads of money... I tend to smell faintly of beer and smokes as thats generally what ive been doing before walking in there.
24. Love JB and his playing ever since I heard *that* version of Crossroads. A big hero of mine, the main reason I went out to buy an EB3.... (but ended up with a Les Paul Bass instead, haha)
25.
Cream
+1 (or white)
