It’d be great to hear some audio of this evolved board! I know you’re working towards more synth bass tones for upcoming projects and having been sent the latest ‘To do’ list for the next series of songs to learn there’s a few 80’s classic’s in there so my interest is again piqued! And seeing how we’re playing New Year’s Eve the countdown begins. For those who don’t know I generally just use a bit of comp and drive on my gigs but the idea of running a clean and possibly synths tones to cop some classic sounds for the big night out does begin to appeal.

I have one installed in a bass and I’d be happy to let you have a play if you’re wanting to try before you buy.

Yeah normally I can. Especially when I make an effort not to see/hear scores. I’ll survive!

Good stuff! A NBD is always a wonderful thing! I was over in GG Glasgow at the start of the week. Some nice bass gear to try it through in the shop before you get it home- 162 replies

Price includes shipping in the U.K. Nice flats with minimal use as I put rounds back on the bass they came off. I first got turned on to these having used Lakland JO flats and really liking them. I found out GHS made the strings for them and got this set. I’ve gone back to using rounds on the bass I took these off as the flats on my short scale sound more pleasing and the longer scale p sounds great with rounds! Cut for a fender precision the E has maybe a half turn of winding but it holds tuning and never let me down. Pics to follow as these has a lovely purple silk wrap.

Wonder if that Ric neck pick up would fit in a Mustang? Basstard bass number two machinations have started... Black JMJ with Ric neck pick up! Mustangbacker? Ricstang? The Flashheart even?

@LukeFRC Getting a compressor set up correctly often means it's working with and for you rather than against you and some finer tuning will be required across instruments etc as @Osiris and other have said. @Al Krow I've read that the clicks and pops can be 'discharged' by stepping on the pedals on/off switches a few times but this could be the words of a madman or only relative to stand alone fx pedals. Might be worth a try? Turn you amp volume down upon powering up the stomp click the pedal switches on and off a few times and that might deal with it. Oh and buffered bypass will likely be better if you're running heaps of pedals unless you can notice and/or prefer a slightly darker signal....just pick the one which works best for your signal chain.
