  1. Just got my hands on one of these last week. I really like the feel and vibe I'm getting off it. I know its not the same as a 'proper' doghouse but it's quite a bit of fun to play and I may even venture out with it this w/e in the band for some tracks, admittedly the ones where I can utlise (read get away with) many, simple open string, root-fifth lines Like a lot of folks I've been watching the youtubes and I feel like my right hand has made the transition relatively hassle free - plucking with the fleshy part of the first two fingers, using my arm to generate the momentum for the pluck. I'm just wondering aboutthe left hand and my postioning. Unfortunately I came off my bicycle last week and have had sore wrists and elbows from the impact and I'm trusting the discomfort I'm experiencing is from that - they were sore before I started playing the EUB. Anywho if anyone knows a teacher in the Edinburgh area or is a seasoned player who would like to berate my technique get in touch G
  2. Yeah I know it's a great wee device - still holding out on hearing the two pedals going head to head!
  3. Just a feeler as I'm still not convinced to part with this tiny box of joy! Been a/b ing this at practice last night but the bloody recording we thought we took didnt due to human error hence the feeler. The other box of noise was kinda more to my taste but I'd like to hear a final A/B in the mix before ditching one ot t'other as both have their strengths. I fing the BB is really eady to match with my bass (external) pre amp as I can match the bass boost so there is no change in the bottom end when engaging the pedal. I'd hate to see it go as it has such a small foot print on my pedal board but one in one out is the rule!!! The Bass BB Preamp is : from Xotic website: a distortion booster designed to retain the original attack sound and tonal spectrums and produce a variety of gain structures for all bass players. Each of the two broadly-overlapping EQs offers 15dB of Boost or Cut. The gain knob offers pristine clean boost to a hard overdriven distortion which is very nice tone that stays firm, with great note separation and just the right amount of compression for a smooth overall texture. True bypass for eliminating any signal interference when it is switched out. Can be used with AC adaptor (optional) or 9V Battery Looking what I paid £95 + £5 next day delivery in the UK

1600+ views!!! Clearly people have heard how good these basses can be! To you guys who have been in touch over the last week or so just PM if you have any further questions or need any more pictures. G
  5. I'm in the camp that a secure, comfortable back strap system would be a better R&D time investment. Surely it can't be good for the back with all that bending Now where did I leave that walking stick

  7. Always a pleasure Top bloke and next day delivery! G
  8. Basically you should do a deal with this guy! And quickly before all his sweet gear is a gone gone gone!
  9. Oooh have a look at the tc spark booster if you can! They look really useful but not sure what it'd do for bass. Been meaning to try one for a while.
  10. I've read positive things about the TLC Good Luck!
  11. Another thing to think about is if you're gonna be switch back and forth between those two comps is a sneaky we A/B box to easily switch on the fly without tap dancing or simple choosing the TC with presets. Keep us posted on how you get on
  12. Chris I have a VTC if your untested in buying it for one of your projects or along with the pre amp? Good luck with your sale! G
  13. Jezza gimme a shout about trade offers!
  14. Bought a pedal. Smooth easy transaction with next day delivery! What's more it's a great wee unit to boot! Cheers Ala
  15. A great booster for all Mike Dirnt fans. He uses these apparently or used bump
  16. Good to hear you're enjoying the fest. It's been a great w/e and pretty hectic.
  17. The TC does look to be quite the device and surely some of that tech crept into the RH heads spectra comp function? There are more learned folks than me here though. My Effectrode valve comp is a lovely addition but not as fully featured for what you're asking.
  18. Got some strings brand new in box. Great stuff, next day delivery and the strings are really really nice. Might even take over as my go to strings! Cheers Nick!
