  1. Thornybank has one which is mint. I've tried it and it's hugely tweakable but £££'s
  2. FYI I'll get actual pic's of the unit up today if I can!
  3. Bump as still available. Give your bass the Sadowsky treatment!
  4. Simple hassle free transaction. Thanks for making it all so painless
  5. The ODB-3 is an ok pedal and if used for the task in hand should work well enough. Here's a link to the manual: http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/products/en/_support/om.cfm?ln=en&dsp=0&iCncd=304&iStcd=4 I use mine set to natural overdrive then adjusted to taste. The manual will allow you to try some suggested settings for different application but the natural OD is probably what you seek! As someone suggested the Wren and Cuff phat phuk b is a great pedal too and i use mine in conjunction with the ODb-3 to add in a nice full bottom (I have them set up with an A/B loop pedal so I can use them on together or individually as the song requires). I'd suggest looking at the new TC Electronic Spark Plug booster as it might get you the sound you're after too and features an active boost/cut bass and treble EQ along with gain and volume and 3 mode settings (clean boost fat boost of mid boost). I'm gonna try one out this w/e if I can. You can see it here! http://magazine.dv247.com/2012/03/21/tc-electronic-spark-booster-pedal/
  6. Hey a local muso I know has recorded this lovely acoustic 4 track but it's now been fleshed out into a full band eschewing the cello and piano for electric guitar, bass and drums to fill out the live sound. Songs have been reworded for this new 5 piece format but the acoustic Ep that started it all off is available to listen in the link below. The full band vibe has come together really quickly and the songs sound better with some solid bass and drums filling it all out;) As you may have guessed I'm playing bass and our second ever full band gig is happening in Edinburgh on the 26th April @City Cafe (doors at 19:00) with a third date in Dundee on the 2nd May (details to follow) City cafe is a nice venue with a great 50's style diner/bar and the gig/club room down in the basement! Be good to see some fellow BC'ers there plus it's payday week end Acousitc Ep available here: http://tituspullo.bandcamp.com/ Local review of the EP here http://www.edinburghspotlight.com/2012/02/review-acoustic-1-by-titus-pullo/ Should be a top night
  7. I got it from someone on here but get in touch the fellow BC user bassdoc and he'll make you one!
  8. I'll check. It's the back of the bridge I'm struggling with. Gonna give them a final try now! Fingers crossed!
  9. Or I'd swap for some Deep Talkin' Flats with an E string with gauge of 105 nothing higher as I might encounter the same problem. Cheers
  10. Bought some LaBella strings. They were here that day I'd sent payment. Super fast! Thanks John
  11. Had a very brief play on this and its super comfortable ( kinda forgot it was a 5'er) and a very up front jazz tone - Burpy like it had just shotgunned a can of fizzy pop... Did I mention the neck is sublime?
  12. I run a phat phuk and and ODB-3 together - you get the big germanium bottom from the PPb and then the ODB3 drive sitting on top and of course the ability to drop one or t'other out as the song required. I like it but maybe not quite as full on as your set up It was a great day discovering that sound!
  13. Cheers for the input and the castors suggestion. I was after a trolley to get the bass amp to local gigs via bus so I wheel up to the bus, fold it up the walk the short walk to the pubs I'll mainly be gigging in. My trolley has been ordered online and I should have it in a few days! Thanks again fella's! G

    This has been traded!
  15. Yeah my system is search on Amazon, read the reviews and then buy it on ebay
  16. Thinking about getting a trolley for wheeling a heavy trace 115 around. What are people using? Seen a magna cart on amazon and some general luggage trolleys. I'd appreciate your collective pros and cons for kit you have experience with. Thanks
