Lads There is, by all accounts, a serious thing going on here and its getting swamped with nonsense. It might seem more fair to the two parties involved if we keep the thread focused and not hijack it with random vid's etc. Im all for levity but also brevity. Teacher has spoken

OK here it come the moment you lurkers have been waiting for. The Pbass Price Drop ...... £650 with you choice of pick guard. This is a serious deal - with the NP4 your getting one of the best aftermarket pick ups out there and the choice of guard is saving at least £35. ** Some new pic's added just scroll through the posts** I'm willing to listen to reasonable offers on this but no trades. Any more trades PM's will not be replied to on this one sorry! OK So with the inner workings of my current band slowly beginning to crumble I feel that my gear may be redundant so downgrading is on the cards. This P bass has been tricked out with a Nordstrand NP4 pick up for a more vintage flavour and an old Russian paper in oil cap 0.1uF for a full rich bottom when rolling back the tone knob. The bass is from the '08 livery with all the current enhancements including high mass bridge, rolled fingerboard, satin finish neck etc. I'll include some pics below. Asking price will include new style hard case with the ' case candy' keys, truss rod tool, hang tag. The bass has a black pick guard as standard and I will include a tort and Gold anodised p/g too. They really change the look of the bass especially the gold- gives it a real 50's vintage vibe (see pic's) Bear in mind that these are Fender licensed p/g's and, going by the current Thomann prices, would be about £100 shipped!!! All in with p/u upgrade and extras £750 with buyer picking up shipping. The bass will come strung with either LaBella Deep Talkin' Flats or D'Addario Chromes. Naturally I'd prefer you to come over and try the bass first and you are welcome to do so if you're in the Edinburgh area. Kettle and biscuits are on standby! **Scroll down for pic's**

The Matt Freeman does have a certain cool about it. Looking forward to messe opening tomorrow and seeing what the initial reports are.

Oh I noticed you appear to have forgotten to add AlphaBeat and Girls Aloud on the list but it's OK I can add them in

Yeah I know tragic isnt it. I'm not knowledgable yet to just zen out and jazz the bit out but frustrations with my current band who play the same set of songs over and over has me wanting to be gently pushed in the right direction of what pople are diffing in the pubs. I ain't got no shame playing tunes people actually might enjoy...another reason to avoid the jazz. Zing! Let the flaming commence

OK so Im after cpoied of your set list if you're out there playing the pubs. What going down well and what hanging in there as a solid pub classic. Ideally if you have a word doc you can pm I'd really appreciate it as Im looking to start something after the summer and suitable recruiting and rehearsing time. Cheers. I'd prefer if this doesn't turn into a debate thread over whats a goo or bad song - just an idea of what you cats are playing and what the punters are enjoying

Darnmanit! It was that bloody bass - dude got in touch via gumtree offering a trade and just sent the pic's through! I feel rather pink faced about the whole thing now (blush) Cheers for the heads up guys. Looks like next time I'll not be so keen to move my excess gear. Disaster officially averted! Ou7shined I owe you a pint!

Yeah my band would be happy to supply tracks. We've been featured on a few podcast and they're a great way to get tunes heard. PM if you get up and running and I'll get links etc to ya. Best of luck

Framus Nashville guitar
Chet worked for Gretsch from 1955 to 1979. The Framus Nashvilles are from 74-75 when he was farming out his talents as an adviser and looking to get away from Gretsch, so unless he had a time machine...
I don't believe I suggested he did -
Great communication and swift payment. Stevie keeps faith alive in internet transactions Enjoy the amp. Gavin

I don't have too much info on this guitar other than this limited spec lifted from t'internet. My friend was given this by her father but she wants a decent electro acoustic as she's into the singer songwriter thing. I do know these were designed by Chet Atkin's before he went on to design for Gretsch and the vibe is similar in tone to a Gretsch. Nice guitar with pictures to follow. As far as we are aware this is the standard model. solidbody, sandwich construction Rosewood or Ebony fingerboard solid Maple neck, set neck 2 PU, Nashville-type 6-way switch built since the beginning 70s She's after somewhere in the £450 region but is waiting to hear back if this is a fair price from people who know more about these matters. Cheers
