  1. Ha! Not a bad price I might place a bid 😀
  2. I’m surprised he’s not selling off minty versions of his new sig model for north of £1500 a pop
  3. https://fb.watch/7HyrlmBj-G/ Here’s a quick clip for a gig we had on Sunday. I was actually quite excited/nervous as I haven’t had a rehearsal with the band or played a gig since February 2020! I’ve not been able to wrangle shifts around at work since the regular pub gig started back a few weeks ago. Thankfully it passed with no major flaws except the three changes they made to three different songs at rehearsal- to be fair they only told me about the changes after we had played each song🤣 I’m sure there’s a way to embed the link but…
  4. Cheers. I’m guessing I could have cut and paste but fb isn’t really my thing. I was expecting a you tube type share button. 🤣 #GettingOld
  5. Gigged a BB424X today. Tamed the low end via my Basswitch and subtle cuts on the provided Fender Rumble combo. It’s a nice alternative to my jazz and comfortable to play. Not as skinny a neck on my jazz and a wee bit thicker than my p bass but overall pleasing! The P bass has the “B” neck which is probably the neck profile which really is a best fit for me. I’ve been told if you search on Facebook for ‘ EH32 Live ‘ you’ll see a clip!
  6. Awww
  7. Pat has a great tone! Nice grind to it. I think he's been using rack SansAmps for th 25th Anni tour
  8. Yeah I used it on the less gainy side but ultimately the quest continued. It is a very capable pedal across a range of sounds so someone is in for a treat.
  9. This is a seriously good pedal. I had one for a while but I really needed something lower gain at the time. FEA Labs gear is so well designed and constructed. If you dig fuzz you really should give this a go. Having a pedal purge DB? So nice pedals up for sale!
  10. “The so called ‘Mr Travis’ sent the bass next day when I’d clearly requested same day delivery. He’s no Amazon that’s for sure! Speaking of Amazon don’t get me started on the packaging job either it took me absolutely ages to get off. By the time I’d unboxed it and then took off the multiple layers of protective bubblewrap I was knackered but dying to play the thing. The finish was much cleaner and brighter than the pictures so I wasn’t happy with his poor photography- he really should have sent higher definition images so points off again for that. However the worst was yet to come… The bass arrived extremely out of tune rendering it basically unplayable - until I had it tuned by a local guitar shop which was totally out of my way at least that was free of charge. Judging by the whispers and laughing at the shop thought this was unacceptable too!” P*ss taking aside Andy was a pleasure to deal with. The bass had a brand new Gotoh bridge fitted and it’s a lovely unit which suits the bass nicely. Super fast delivery, good comms, expertly packaged and cleaned and set up like the pro he is. thanks man 🥲
  11. Basschatter’s manage to sniff out just about every bass across all sales sites country wide 😀
  12. I waving from my side. Is that you I see there on the beach heading toward Wemyss? 😀
  13. Aww man! This is a sweet bass! Where in the kingdom are you? I’m over in North Berwick and having a good chin scratch!
  14. I’ve literally just been messing with octave down stuff using my Red Witch Zeus (basically an OC2 circuit) into the parallel loop on my Basswitch and comparing it with the HX stomp running an octave down on a parallel path too. Some context… I’ve been learning a bunch of 80’s tracks for a band I’ve been approached to join so as well as learning the songs as regular bass parts down in the ‘bass register’ without any effects I’m also coming up with the parts with the octave down engaged but I’m not playing that many, if any notes on the E string below the 5th fret, generally keeping to the 7th fret and above. In fact I’m playing most of the parts starting at ‘D’ on the A string and above with the octave engaged to get better tracking and a bit more of the effect. I’ve tried both finger style and pick I don’t see the use of octave down on an open low E to the A note for the 80’s stuff I’m learning- just lacked the attack and clarity. It sounds more pleasing played up the neck with the octave engaged but I’d need to wait and see how sounds with the keyboard parts in an actual rehearsal room before deciding if it’s gonna be the octave effect or straight bass tones for those particular songs. As others have said you may find depending on your goals/songs your doing/effect your after that going much below A or G on the E string is not worth it due to glitches and muddy tone. What’s the context? Are you covering songs or just want low sub octave sounds/effect. I’m only really gonna need it on a few tracks but it’s good to have the option but the proof is in the rehearsal room!
  15. It feels like each bass ‘pulls you’ into a specific style of playing which comes across in each performance whether that was intentional or not. Great playing!
  16. Riffs ahoy!!
  17. A other great example of how a bit of dirt on the bass helps it work in a mix- the dirt just seems to ‘dissolve’ like a tonal stock cube into the mix adding it’s own flavour. Fine work indeed. I’m thinking about moving to an ADAM pedal for live and this is another great example of how I might use one. *opens Spotify and plays Superunknown
  18. Should probably mark as sold 👍🏼
  19. My Basswitch has been the ‘brain’ of my pedal board for a decade and it’s so versatile. My fiddle played has used it when waiting to get her own preamp/DI it’s helped fix a few unruly hollow stages and been flawless in that time. Well worth the asking price considering the years of service but at the time I was after something with that functionality and I was building my pedal board around those features. I was basically making a pedal board which would work if my amp died or for a straight to desk pedal board.
  20. Nah it’s the BC way. A heap of pedals are bought, photographed in situ on a pedal board, rejigged and then replaced with essential the same pedal (and in your case the actual same pedal) only to be re-captured, reposted and then swapped again. I sometimes wonder if it’s as much about having the latest ‘cool looking pedals’ such is the power of a forum and the hype generated. I think the pedal board thread on here should be renamed Pedal Bored as folk seem to change up things with such frequency as to have lost interest in the new pedal before it’s even arrived in the post.
  21. I’ve been using a Basswitch IQ DI on my board for about 10 yrs. It has a great preamp with two bands of semi para mids. More then than it has a heap of other features from dual fx loops, mute switch, boost, dual instrument inputs and A/B switching. It’s so much more than a simple EQ. Also I’ve been using a Cali76 from about the same time although it’s changed from the big box to a compact back to the big box it’s always been running in the parallel fx loop on the Basswitch. A match made in heaven!
  22. Love Lehle gear. Solid and reliable and I’ve been using my Lehle kit for about 10 yrs
  23. At £750 I’d be up for a conversation. I love the butter cream finish.
  24. So with the software update and the changes implemented to the signal chain how are folks enjoying the ADAM? As is the way with gigs returning I’d really like to get an ADAM and give it a blast. Now there’s nothing wrong with my stomp nor my ‘full’ pedal board set up which has comp, drive and eq/blend control so I can use either to give a very pleasing live tone. For most of my gigs all Ireally need/use is a simple signal chain of eq/drive/comp (and cab sim for IEM’s). The signal chain in the ADAM and it’s features are pretty cool and having the software update/flexibility (Neural software) leads me to believe that the pedal will continue to have some practical updates which will outpace the amps down the line - the new selectable eq points looks interesting and we could see different eq profiles to mimic various amps in the future as part of that Neural software lineage. I’m picturing a B15 eq profile in conjunction with the low gain, SVT profile etc. Anyhow future developments aside how are folks enjoying the pedal and @Obradid you manage to resolve your issues with the pedal?
