It’s a Grateful Dead emulator pedal.

The fruits are laid out to represent the Bit rate? I know very little of bit crushers other then the OTO biscuit plug in I messed with and that’s all I can come up with.

Bravo Sir This is officially the best reply I’ve seen all year on basschat.

We fully understand and respect your position… but it’s fun to hear what folk think and poke some fun 🤩

Gaaaahhh I’m a fool 😀

Be cool to see what they’ve done considering the zio pre, their comp and all the control you can get from the software. It’s got great potential!

Boom!

Dual foot switch’s, eq like three knob BMT? control. Some kind of amp sim/cabIR thing? I don’t think they’ve done this before and it’s in line with a lot of the moves of a ‘live rig’ in a box.

Listing things in one page OC2- £95 *sold* Colourbox v.2 - £350 TRex bass juice - £60 *sold* PT Classic Jr -£70 All prices include postage. No box for the oc2. All pedals have had home and live use but are in great condition. Some duolock on the PT which can be removed. Might add one or two other things but this is it for now.

Yeah I had the CaliTX and loved it for what it added overall not just as a comp. I’m using three lightning boy audio transformer boxes (passive transformers) in line on my board to add in the additional special sauce. Definitely notice the difference A/B’ing with/without. I’d love to give the Euna a go but don’t have the real estate for it and the wee LBA Tx units are easily hidden under the board. I have the MkV Beta too! Good luck!

Nice. I’ll have to check one out.

I might be reading you wrong but I’m not sure ‘dynamic responsiveness’’ is a ‘built in’ feature so much as what happens when you reduce the volume control on the bass or play lighter/softer/harder.

I have an oc2 I’m offloading if that will tide you over 😀

My rule was always keep a board and PSU which could only take X amount of pedals/ power a specific number of pedals… which was tricky as my old and new preamp units were big and my old comp was a big box Cali😳 I might have piggy backed a few things back then! This way both space and power were factors. If I want to try a new pedal I really need it to do more or significantly different/ better than what it replaces. I had a bit of flourish trying some new pieces of gear out about 18 months ago but the core board has remained pretty stable for as long if not longer. Latest addition has been an octave pedal but my singers had a stroke so not sure when I’ll really get much chance to use it!

Yeah with duolock smaller is better. It’s tricky to remove if you go to Velcro proportions!

I’m selling the JHS Colourbox v.2 which Janek chose in his shootout. It’s very versatile and has transformers (2 one on the di out and a second in the 1/4”). Offers up a nice full sound and rhe eq is very flexible and the treble is voiced from 2kHz - which starts in a really nice spot for us bassists. The mid and low bands are also semi parametric so you can dial in a sound very very easily and quickly. Only I’m using a tube based DI and some passive tranformer units I’d be keeping it! DM me if you’d like to know more.
