  1. Updated with new pedals
  2. I'd need to hear them side by side to give a real comparison and I'm not saying a 110 would be 'better' just that it might offer up an alternative which could work well with a B string. As for RMS handling depends what driver is used but I'd hazard that a 10 might be expected to handle 450-500w.
  3. I think 14kg is is about the weight of the F110
  4. **Free Mooer Thunderball Fuzz/OD with this pedal** Mooer Radar Speaker sim but so much more! Its an EQ, HPF/LPF, headphone amp - see full spec below. Currently £119 on Thomann. This unit is boxed with and has had minimal use on my pedal board. Going to nab a HX Stomp due to a rig change to IEM. Pic's added - a whole lot of parameters can be tweaked from mic type and placement, power amp type, Bass specific EQ plus fully user adjustable parametric EQ and all accessed quickly and easily on the unit itself! Cracking wee addition to a iem /DI rig. Price includes postage: Speaker simulator 30 Speaker cab model simulations including bass cabs 11 Mic preamp model simulations 4 Power amp model simulations Support for additional (third-party) Impulse Responses (IRs) via Mooer Studio Software Fully configurable EQ Storable up to 36 user presets Colour LCD display Menu control / rotary switch to select and edit settings 6.3mm Mono jack input / output 3.5mm Stereo headphone out Power supply via included 12 V DC power supply with 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm barrel connector and polarity (-) inside Power consumption: 300 mA Dimensions (L x W x H): 93.5 x 42 x 52 mm Weight: 150 g Free Mooer Thunderball OD/Fuzz if you want it with this pedal - not sure the OD side is 100% but the fuzz does a great job for all those 7Nation Army covers! Got a busy start to the week so can post after Wednesday18th March
  5. Yeah I was just thinking about AK being the gear guy in his band (as in transportation etc) and how say a fearless F110 (as he knows the brand might) have killed two birds with one stone - smaller, tight B, lighter etc. I'm sure his current stable of cabs will continue to deliver though.
  6. 10’s can tighten things up nicely and not to say they’re better. Just saying might be worth a listen down the line if you get a chance at a local shop, over at Bass Direct or with some BC brethren in the future.
  7. I wasn't sure if you'd played 5's back then and to honest I've forgotten all the cabs you've been thru
  8. I didn't describe 12's as woolly (as you know I use a 112 and a 212 myself) but having had the opportunity to try out some 10's recently just thinking that the natural tightness of 10's might have offered you some extra snap with the 5er and you've got some great 12's already. If you get a chance give 10's a go you mgith find they really work with the low b. Something to explore in another 3 months or so ... or whenever the 'rules' change again
  9. Or not if you’ve spent the last 3 months getting distracted with your next purchases. I’m sure they’ll get plenty of use over the next 9 months and they all look like solids bits of gear. Our mutual friend has the VT500 amp and sang it’s praises. I thought you found the T21 stuff a bit ‘baked in’I terms of the tones but it’s useful to have in the arsenal - I know the Tone Hammer DI does some good Ampeg style tones which can be fun but I always thought the Ampeg thing was possibly too scooped in the mids for your preference? Considering the BB2 - Would you not have been better off with a 110 or 210 to help keep the B string snappy? You’d likely tighten up the whole response over the 12’s. Might be worth looking at down the line. I know the F110 (and f210) look pretty tight and you already know the quality of their kit.
  10. I don’t subscribe to the premise of a self imposed abstinence or binge buying. If I need it or wanna try it I’ll get it. I do think it’s funny that you’re doing this during Lent though. I know folk are hoarding bog roll and canned goods because of the Corona virus but bass gear is a step too far. There’s an irony in there somewhere😀 I’ll continue to nab a bit of gear as needed or if the notion takes. I’ve not bought any new bass gear in a while but might pick up a used Stomp as the pub band have all gone IEM. Ditched my other band as they are booking gigs which involve nearly a 300 mile round trip -approx 3hrs drive each way! So less need for the full rig. I‘m not building my own basses but I have been experimenting with pick ups and was pimping a bargain purchase Classic Vibe jazz a while back but it’s long since been completed.
  11. I was wise and got a cab which was lighter than my kettlebell 😀
  12. I was gonna relist my 112 but its about 15kg - whats the cut off for light weight these days?
  13. HPF/LPF sold - ad updated
  14. Slap rig?
  15. So what’s inspired this rig change? I know you have some very giggable cabs already! I’m guessing the stomp is sold as it has a heap of ampeg stuff available on it
  16. Having done the BEAD thing the G wasn’t that vital as the notes were all there a wee bit further along the D string. But I’ll admit most of the choir stuff I was playing on those gigs required more use of the lower notes so it worked really well for me in that context - transposing riffs for altered keys to almost all the original versions. So what goodies along with Sire PJ?
  17. It’s a 4 string fender p bass with none of that superfluous stuff, just a good solid p bass (and a set of flats) to let the fingers do the talking? 😀
  18. Ooh what’s ya get? End of year tax dodge?
  19. So what is it you wanna buy before this arbitrary deadline🤣🤣🤣
  20. I sold some high end basses/gear as while they were lovely they were of more value to me as money in the bank. It’s fun to own more than one bass - I have three- but one is a used CV jazz nabbed for about £100 with some minimal upgrades, the second is a P so a no brainer and the third a JMJ which is just fun to play but it also sounds great. I could reasonable shift two of these and still have enough basses for all my gigs but at this stage the cash tied up in them isn’t enough to make it right at this time. Maybe down the mine but for now it’s a pleasure to have all three. If you’re needing to get the cash shift the ones you can do without but you know that brown Yamaha will do the job... no wait it’s orange!
  21. Might be up for a pedal trade. I’m into lower gain drive, maybe a fuzz, interesting preamp/eq. Drop me a pm!
  22. Lovely looking bass which is a bit of a bargain! I previously owned an SRX700 which had a similar neck thru, it was a great bass and a delight to play.
