You’ll have to whack up a demonic bass+mosaic clip and let us hear what it’s doing for you especially if using it with your band. Like I’ve mentioned in the pedal board thread it’s really useful to hear some of these effects in context and there’s no denying the EHX pedals POG, B9, C9 Etc and the Mosaic do the octave/doubling thing well. eagerly awaiting audio!

Better than a dedicated pedal *gasp*

The band look different on stage in the flesh than in the poster they have up behind you. 😉

That’s a bill fits question over in Amps and cabs Do a search as it might have came up previously?
-
2x12’s? Or the 1210 cab? Still good value!
-
Hope it does the job admirably!

That's why I bought mine! Wayyhay! @scalpy what did you go for?
-
You’ll not bag a bf110 for less than one of those db cabs at their sale price but the bf is possibly a lighter cab.

Well worth a punt. The Elbee 112 atop my Embee 112 would be quite the set up. I already have a very capable 212 which is the only thing stopping me to be honest!
-
I mentioned these cabs a while back in another thread but no one seemed to pick up on the fantastic offers so here’s a separate thread to entice folk looking for a small portable solution and a new bout of GAS. I’ll be gigging my 112 Embee tonight in a small room with the country band and it's well up to the task. I believe the Elbee are the lighter cabs while the Embee have a more sturdy construction and additional features like the port and angled speakers. Worth a punt if you facny a change or need an additional cab for home use or going modular to accommodate differnt stages/venues. **SOLD** CV 60’s jazz bass pick up

Would you say the CS had more bottom over the 74's? My understanding is the CS are over wound 60's spec. The 70's style uses a different wire/winding which translates as more mid forward/reduced lows type sound. A workable sound but slightly different to what I was after in this one.

Just changed the pick ups in a jazz so these are up for sale. Some talk about these being unbranded Tone Riders as used in the early Squier CV models. Only info I have on them is the stickers affixed to the base of each pick up. Plenty of wiring left on each pick up and they sound good. I have preferences which another brand have met (at a considerable cost to these) but that’s the way it goes. Solid pick ups and if they are the un-branded Tone Riders the spec is as below but I should say I’ve not measured the resistance. Alnico 5 aged magnets 7.2k Neck RwRp 8.2k Bridge New Tone Riders are £60 a set. These are £30 and the price includes next day shipping U.K. (approx £5) I should add there are no screws/springs/foam included in the sale.

I know, I know me again.... So I've had the jazz bass into the amp for some volume based noodling with the new pick ups. I'd say there is familiar tone coming out of the bass but with some added oomph. When I last owned a jazz I had Model J's in it and I really enjoyed the P-like mids they brought and it suited what I was doing back then ( one elec guitar, one acoustic and bass). I tweaked the pick up heights - finally got a decent ruler which has helped with accuracy rather than just eyeballing and ears which I've used previously. This time I was after a more traditional J sound and I think these 60's voiced NJ4's have that in abundance. IMO the stock pick ups were a bit harsh on the top end for me. The NJ4's have more in the lows and a more refined, in it's truest sense, rather than tamed top end. I'm no fan of super zingy (or active eq). I know where I like to set my eq/tone control to mange that 'top' but I do appreciate that a part of the jazz bass magic is the 'both pick ups on, tone wide open'. I hear these pick ups being a bit better suited to what I prefer before eq. I am aware that the strings are still quite new and this top end may naturally tame over time but I'll be whacking some flats on for further noodling this afternoon. I would like to hear the Aguilar 60's wind in this bass too and if some become available used I'll try them but as for now this NJ4 pair are a good match. Stock pick ups to be listed later!

Some NJ4 pick ups came available on BC so I've nabbed them, they've arrived and I've installed them. I'd say a bit more bottom over the originals and just make a good sounding bass more Jazz like. Look forward to hearing them into the amp tomorrow night.

Bought some pick ups next day delivery was much appreciated as I have them installed and ready to go! Nice!

For those who may be interested the CV jazz pick ups have this on their base. If anyone is familiar with Tone Riders they may have a similar sticker or code.
