Just read the blurb. They must use the same marketing company as Nordstrand! “The rear firing 12” speaker provides a sonically charged heavyweight blanket of bass” “The BigMan emits sonic imposition, ... and kinetic congruousness that encompasses animalistic muscularity and power.” I guess if they were really that useful they’d be more popular? I know 310’s are out there form a few builders but I’d stick with a 4ohm 212 over a 6ohm 310 I think. Happy to be proven wrong and who knows maybe it does sound Holographic - whatever that actually translates into on a gig?!?

Is it the mod shop going online or is that already revealed. It’ll be the high end/price hike ultras. They’ll be running out of synonyms for ‘fancy’ before too long!

Is it good for metal?

I’m off to view a CV on Sunday and all going well I should have it for £140, possibly less if the ‘buzzing’ is something which needs a bit of attention. I have high hopes!

Ha! Yeah it's a surprisingly potent little unit and paired with my 112 cab it was ideal for the small pub gigs (I play with a country band and some gigs are just low volume, tight for space gigs). The 212 is overkill and I can put the fiddle player's 1x8 combo and amp stand atop the 112 keep things compact with this rig. The TH character comes across nicely. I've used other pre amp's in and it puts out the voice of whichever pre is used with it - it's a good neutral platform! I'll be going direct to desk for the smaller gigs now as there's some new pa kit on the scene!

Compact, pedal board friendly power amp. I've tried this with various pre amps and it's got a great responsive feel. Slaps and pop's are quick and immediate and it holds it's own well. Pairs really nicely with my Aguilar Tone Hammer DI. This 'mini rig' is vastly lighter than my main gigging amps, the Baby Sumo is only 1.5kg and nestles comfortably on my Pedal Train Jr board. I can imagine paired to a Helix Stomp and a 110 or 112 for the ultimate mini rig where manageable stage volume and tight space is real concern or one simply needs compact and easy to transport gear. The Baby Sumo comes with its own branded carry case and the price includes next day UK shipping. Spec sheet is below and lifted from the GSS website. Pic's to follow Taken from the GSS website... Black steel and aluminium (front and back panels) enclosure. Laser printed front and back panels. Inputs/outputs and controls : 1/4" (6,35mm) input jack connector on the front panel. Neutrik Speakon loudspeaker output connector on the back panel. One on/off power switch. Massive pure aluminium volume control. Dimensions: 5.2 x 3.2 x 8 inches / 13 x 8 x 20 centimeters (Width x Height x Depth) Weight: 3.3 Lbs (1,5 Kg) Technical data: Power: 600 Watts over 4 Ohms; 300 Watts over 8 Ohms; 150 Watts over 16 Ohms. THD (at full power): < 0,1 % Input impedance: 10 K Ohms Power voltage: 180-264 Volts ac Frequency response (-1dB): 20-20000 Hz

Pleasure doing business. No qualms and would happily buy from Mike again.

Told a punter to 'get to f...' for the time last night!
krispn replied to geoham's topic in General Discussion
Some punters do need to be told. A few funny phrases is often enough to settle any boisterous punters at out gigs but we do get the occasional idiot who decided to stage invade or film us on their phones with full glaring led lights blinding us. The look of indignation on some folks faces when you ask them to stop blinding you is quite funny. On one or two occasions I've managed to turn their phone around on them and have them understand why we're not reveling in the moment! They quickly desist! -
That's ridiculous!

My point exactly!

A bit dramatic no? If the rest of the band 'need' to take gigs which are three hours away and you don't and there's a dep willing then that's cool.Win win as someone said. Not everyone can do every gig and if it's circumstance (working/holidays/ not worth the 10 hours for a two hour gig on a Tuesday then I'd not worry.

In what sense?

@Al Krow you didn’t build it 🤣🤣 but it’s good to see the new owner is enjoying it.

There’s reports of a JMJ Mustang coming out in black before the end of the year. It’ll be a road worn model I’d expect.

As @Cuzzie points out it is indeed a Lull TBird pick up. It’s not apparent but has been mentioned earlier in this thread that it has a Tone Styler Bass10 fitted too which makes the whole thing quite versatile and can be heard here if you’re interested!
