  1. Good company to be keeping 😀
  2. You forgot tuner 😀😉
  3. Frank get her to have a look at the stomp with you and maybe she can help you set it up while explaining what the controls are doing too. That way you should have a good grasp of your specific settings and parameters.
  4. @Al Krow Maybe you should have bought a HXFX instead as it sounds better suited to your needs? Have you not messed about with amp and cab sims yet on it? Have you experimented with the drive options yet as there are many especially with the latest update KOT drive, svt4 amp, BDDI etc. Mixing amps and drives offers up more possibilities too... If filter, drive, octave and a good 6-8 hours worth of looping capabilities are all you need and your pedal board has this covered maybe it’s possibly just not the right unit for you!
  5. @mcnach I’ve a Tecamp 212m you’re welcome to try out should you ever feel the need. It’s an easy lift and not very heavy I’d say about 18kg (neo speakers) but a very easy list with the handle design!
  6. Nabbed a pedal from Andy. Everything went as planned and I’d happily deal with him again!

    Boss SY-1

Yeah I've seen some footage of these and in theory they'd be doing more than what I was thinking of but still pretty cool

Would a 12 step involve tap dancing? I'm in a position where my band might benefit from a little more oomph on certain tracks but it's not essential. To be able to add a pad or something a bit more atmospheric on some intro parts but also have a bit more going on as in a synthy sort of sound could work but I've kinda adopted the bass to play parts which work for our set up. I'm just interested to learn how folks would use this pedal in a similar set up to mine not create soundscapes and textures like so many examples I've heard of bass synth stuff. @Al Krow has linked footage to his band and I'm confident that there are enough similarities to the type of songs/audiences we play to. Asking him for examples was to see how he might integrate the pedal as I'm aware he's doesn't normally use any effects in his live bands. I'm just using some comp and drive in mine.
  9. If I can I will
  10. Turns out I didn't but that sorted it. It's good to play along with recordings but all very samey.
  11. 10 of course!
  12. "Click Click Click!"
  13. I was telling you about the benefits of the AO pedal just a few weeks ago and sent you that demo video highlighting it's versatility. Still the better sounding of the DG pedal range IMO. Back on topic!
  14. 'twas!
  15. Here's some footage from a gig.
  16. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254378727783 Nice looking one off old body shape Sandberg!
  17. Ahh like a ‘best setting’ preset. Still worthy no doubt as most of use find one good comp setting and stick to it. It’s a great deal and I know you’ll enjoy it out with the band.
  18. I don’t think it’s got the HL comp built in but I’ve not seen the editor software to see parameters etc. Keep us posted maybe do a nad thread once you get it 😀
  19. Ahh so you bought the amp recently for sale. Great deal on that one. I’d have snapped that up too for that price. So does that mean the Stella is now for sale?
  20. I did but I’ll try it again later.
  21. I did for the heavier stuff and it shone! I’m using my amp’s built in drive these days with my Tone Hammer pedal providing a bit of extra grit- basically stacking the two as this seems to fit better for the more old school drive tones I’m gravitating. You’ll not need the DG comp with your Stella keeping everything in check for you surely?
  22. The AO is the best sounding DG pedal as it does more than aggressive down tuned djent/Periphery tones. Working the blend level and gain all help get the most out of it. You should nab one for a ‘free rental’ and put it through its paces. I think you’d get some good use out of it considering your leanings to synth/drive tones.
  23. Downloaded it and cant turn the fecking thing on! The plug in screen is there and I can turn thing on and off and change parameters but no actual effect is sounding just my straight bass sound?
  24. Our main venue has a grill/mesh type covering on the wall behind us so the singer basically used some cable ties which are permanently in place - we just clip the backdrop on via wee carabiner 'hooks'. I understand many folks won't have the luxury of this across all the venues they play.
