PRS? LOL
Yes there's a PRS too but it's a 4 stringer. I believe the OP is after "the ultimate" fiver, n'est pas?

I really can't think of it... my only assumption is that since as you've rightly said the American standard comes with the heaviest gauge of them all, is probably to do with the fact that the AM STD has a Hi-Mass Bridge and string through body? Heavier gauge = more sustain & resonance? F*** knows... ??

I also use the Hercules ones, these ones in particular http://www.amazon.co...39277912&sr=8-2 As you can see here:
Thank you for the kind offer I shall bear it in mind , I may be heading up to London later in the year So I may PM you.
It will be my pleasure. (plenty notice please I work on ships)
-
Dingwall there's 3 here in my home in London for you to try if ever you are in London give me a shout
-
Told ya!

No no and no! Must try before you buy in my book, I once had gas for a Steve Harris model, I heard Ed Friedland wax lyrical about it on you(pay-me-later-Mr.Fender)tube and when I tried it in GAK it was not my cuppa. So anything you must try to see if it fits your needs, I also dislike Mexican necks as opposed to Squiers and MIA ones. Go figure.

To one of my best friends on Basschat, Dave has been a true inspiration, thanks to Dave I have discovered a new passion for photography and he has been very patient with me due to the fact that a few months ago I didn't even know how to fit a lens to a camera and knew absolutely nothing about aperture, depth of field, ISO numbers, exposure compensation etc etc. Anyway, I am still miles away from being half as good as he is with his camera but at least now I know a lot more than I ever did. Thanks Dave have a great 49th Birthday,

Stick the "Blues Brothers" Movie Soundtrack and play along to every song back to back, can't go wrong with following Duck Dunn Then log on "Songsterr" and follow tabs in real time on very simple songs. example: http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/blues-brothers-gimme-some-lovin-guitar-tab-s27169t0 REMEMBER TO SELECT THE BASS TABS!

It's a thing of beauty, that one

I've noticed that they have the bullet type trussrod adjustment on the top of the headstock instead of the adjustment at the heel, so you don't need to remove the pickguard to sort out the neck curvature, but apart from that I am not into that colour and that is just my personal opinion.
-
Guys, it was a typo they meant 75 not 57

Pardon???? (Sorry can't hear you well my amp is on, WHAAAAATTT?) Yeah they're loud!

meeting adjourned......
They are forecasting dreadful weather for London on Sunday and Monday. Cold as well. So perhaps summer is being suspended for a while (sigh), and that may be one more reason for us to move the meetup to another weekend.
Righty-oh
-
Monday is 4th June. I might make it but not 100% sure at this stage. Perhaps the date is a bit too close to be sure many of us aren't booked on other commitments?
Ok corrected... well summer is here now... we wait any longer and winter comes..... I am cool, everyone who is interested please let me know when you plan to be available and we'll see... its a daytime barbeque, remember.

Correction Bank Holiday Monday ok for you guys? 4th of June
A BBQ at GW's sounds lovely, but I'm afraid it's a bit far East for me I just really link up with you Lunnoners if there is something going on within easy reach of Dad's when I am paying him one of my regular visits. But Greenwich would be a bit difficult to get to. Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for other meet ups which might be a bit easier. The SE Bass Bash for instance - if that's in Addlestone again I'll be up for it.
I am sorry that you feel Greenwich is too far away, but it's only 7 miles down from the Southbank where you did go last time. I have to travel every weekend by car to my son in Richmond on the opposite side of London on the dreaded A205 South Circula it 16 miles that take 2 hours each way there and back of hell. One of the worst London roads.

Is that a road worn made in Mexico one? pffft!
Whereabouts are you, GW?
Saaarf o' the river, on the now Royal Borough of Greenwich
-
I've done that for BBQs with friends who live in my area. Not sure how it would work on a London-wide basis, though, as it implies a few of the group - the girls, usually - meeting up at the house a few hours earlier to get everything ready, and then either staying late clearing and tidying up or going back the following day.
Come on! Are we in the dark ages? I don't really think it will be necessary for the "girls" to stay later and clear up, I would assume and appreciate that all guests: male, female and lefties each pull their finger out and help keep the place tidy, I don't think it's fair that the "gilrs" will have to do any extra work that the blokes and the lefties can't do. I want everyone to enjoy their time same as anyone else (lefties included) The only thing we need to organize is seating because I have just redone the whole house and garden (grass) I don't yet have any tables and chairs so I would ask y'all if you could bring those camping folding tables if you have any and chairs, we could then use those one use bbq's you get from Asda and lay them on bricks (which I do have a variety of still...) Anyway let me know if you are interested, I prefer a Sat/ Sun matinee rather than an evening. That way noise will not be an issue with the neighbours and loud basses can be played in the patio area of the garden. (Choice of 3 amps there so... don't bring your amp, just your bass, food and drinks lol)
