1.
i'm so tempted with, and its only up the road. i was considering going DIY on my Ashdown 5 15, but this is bloody tempting...finances will be checked
if you do go for it you won't be disapointed, i have almost the same rig (except i have a 4x10 instead of the 1x15) and its a really great sounding, powerful and reliable set up. i thought prices on these were going up when i saw this one but maybe not as for the whole rig this is crazy cheap!

 5.
Hi mate, I've gotAn Ed Friedland 'Jazz Upright Bass' DVD that shows the basics and some cool tips. If you want, I can post it to you for you to watch. Keep it for a month to get the ideas down, and then just post it back to me when you're done with it. Only costs you a return stamp when you send it back. Drop me your address if you want me to send it to you? Kevin
awesome! damn decent of you kevin, PM sent. thanks!
 6.
I have both and am happy to let them go. They are very good for beginners and for the occasional reminder even for experienced players. How's £30 posted for the two? Chris
PM'd! cheers chris, matt
 7. i've just bought a double bass but now i need to learn to play it properly before i damage myself! kinda hard cuz i can't keep my hands off it but i'm thinking some beginner dvd's are the way to go so i get off to a good start and get the absolute basics right i've seen the 'Essential Techniques For Acoustic Bass' todd phillips dvd's recommended so if anyone is ready to move them on i'm interested or let me know what else you've got/would recommend.
 8. john bought some strings off me, easy transaction, good comms, top bloke! thanks!
 9. BUMP! just to say i'm open to offers of potential trades/part exchanges on this... i'm currently looking for an acoustic guitar and an acoustic bass and there's always tons of other bits and pieces i'm after check my signature for an epic list of things i'm currently seeking
 10. another +1 on the nano small stone. to be honest though its the only phaser i've had so i've got nothing to compare it to but i did search around and read a ton of reviews and opinions and they seem highly regarded if you do decide to go for the small stone and want to pick one up 2nd hand send me a message as mine (as well as most of the rest of my pedal board) is gonna be up for sale soon
 11.
For what it's worth. . . . . It's a Classic Peavey, so. . . . . I've got one. On a lone to a younger learner, at the mo' - struggling with his Pacifica - getting on with the T-15 much better. As pointed out, it's the proper thing, not a toy - the best bit is the sound. The pickups are stunning. Some really great sounds - surpised your guitarist gave it back to you. Good luck with the sale. Cheers.
cheers for the input flateric, i absolutely love the sound of the pickups and its nice to have someone agree on that point, i never trust my opinion when it comes to talking about electric guitars, i guess through lack of experience with them but yeah truly lovely tone. it was a struggle to get it back off my guitarist and after practice last night he asked if he could 'borrow' it again as a back up for his gretsch... when I told him it was up for sale he looked like he was gonna cry! to be honest i'm expecting him to make me an offer once payday rolls around but i'm not gonna hold it for him so if it goes it goes! heartless aint i?!
 12.
Be pretty wicked for someones beginner son or daughter - I'd get it for my sister if I knew she'd actually put the effort in
yeah that thought had crossed my mind, though its worth noting its not so small it would look weird on a 'grown up' as this picture of my guitarist will prove:
thats lovely and seems bloody cheap to me. skint at present unfortunately.
yeah tis a beaut, i hope people don't think its cheap rubbish though just cuz its cheap! its purely because its not exactly a well known guitar (over here certainly)... even the peavey T40 and T60 models, which are getting a bit more recognition and winning over new fans now, still go for very cheap for what they are would it help if i write a different name on the headstock?! nah don't get me started on that again!
 13. should also add that its just been restrung with D'addario XL 10's and is playing nicely... even with my fat fingers
 14. i have a cupboard full of strings and things that i clearly don't need. here's the 1st lot on offer: [s]Elites Double ball end extra light gauge (30, 50, 70, 90)[/s] Gone! Elites Double ball end light gauge (35, 55, 75, 95) [s]Elites Stainless Steel Roundwound (40, 60, 80, 100)[/s] Gone! Elites Custom Stainless Steel Medium Scale (45, 65, 85, 105) these are all new, unused and in packaging as pictured. if anyone has any elites player series (nickel) or acoustic bass strings i'd be happy to trade sets or failing that money is always good (£13 a set inc postage)
 15. i had this shipped over from america a couple years ago and then pretty much stright away had it on loan to the guitarist in my band who took a shine to it. i got it back a few weeks ago and its just sitting here not getting played. its a thing of beauty and as with all the USA made peavey T series guitars and basses its really well constructed. however i'm not much of a guitarist and find guitars to be quite fiddly little things, this ones worse being shortscale so its gotta go! 23.5" scale length, 20 frets, metal nut, 2 single coal super ferrite pickups, pickup selector switch and volume and tone controls there are quite a few videos of these on You Tube so you can get a pretty good idea of what sorta sounds you can get from it and will be plenty of posts about them if you search here or one of the peavey t series fansites it comes with its original case although i've replaced all the foam from inside which had fallen to pieces. i got a new pickguard made for it and replaced the tuners because i wasn't digging the vintage white/cream look. i'll include the originals in the sale though so you can have it as it was intended if you so desire. the only damage i can find is a bit of buckle rash on the back, its in better condition than me and we're the same age! please PM me with any questions and if you need anymore photos or of anything specific let me know and i'll sort it ( i finally have a camera!) Cheers Matt
 16. ahhhh so the extension socket thing is just a feature so you can hook everything up without having to get longer speaker leads or something? thanks for your help!
 17. ok i've searched through all the various information on here and i think i'm just confusing myself even more! basically ever since i started using my 1st amp & cab setup (hartke 3500 head and an 8 ohm vx410 cab) i've linked them based on the information in the manual for that cab. when i bought another cab i linked the 1st from an output on the amp and the 2nd from the 'extension' output on that cab so the cabs would be linked in parallel and the impedance would be 4 ohms (as it said in the manual) so two 8 ohm cabs linked in parallel via the extension socket there is 4 ohm impedance but if i take two 8 ohm outputs from the back of my amp thats series (?) and it says for cabs wired in series, the impedance is the 'sum of the speakers individual impedance' the other day i bought a new head and started looking for cabs but noticed not many had 'extension' sockets on the back so that got me thinking maybe i don't understand this afterall! so once and for all, if i link everything up in series and use the two 8ohm outputs from the head and go into two 8ohm cabs is the impedance reduced to 4ohm well? if so why does the manual for the cab say to link in parallel to achieve this and completely glosses over the series linkup option?! confused.
 18.
Bonjour! Glad you like it - pics look very good. Let me know when you have recorded some stuff with it. Cheers. Got another one, Burst - Maple - Blade, with the smaller switches, made in. . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1982!!! Only teasing!! Cheers.
Ha!

 20.
Hi Matt I'd just like to say a public thanks for the CD. It looks and sounds really professional. It's on my mp3 player now too! Great job Brian
no problem at all brian, i'm glad you like it! cheers matt
 21.
I really like it. I'm inspired enough to work on my vocals to do my own solo effort.
cool! yeah i'm no singer and only very recently, last year sometime, ever actually sang in front of anyone (backing vocals in a band i joined) but its definitly worth giving it a go! the whole solo album thing may be a lonely way to go but i really enjoyed it, sounds obvious but everytime i finished something i thought "right now the guitar/bass/whatever.... oh yeah thats me as well, awesome!" also i guess as with all of the stuff i did on this its easier to do it yourself than try to explain to someone how you want it played/sung without sounding like a dictator! cheers for listening and good luck with your project!
good work m8. i am into the funk/soul vibe but can appreciate work well done.
thank you for giving it a listen! its nice to hear you can find something in it to like even though its not quite your style, thats a good way to be!
 22.
Anyone seen any Tobias basses in UK bass stores?? Would love to get a hold of one :-(
when i went to denmark street in london a couple of years ago a couple of the stores had 2nd hand tobias basses and one had new tobias renegades and growlers but they were pretty dear and i can't remember what shop it was! hmmm... helpful.
 23.
Really tight playing, Great sound.
Thanks!
 24.
Wow, really cool. I would like a CD! Can you make the tracks available for download? Cheers Brian
for some reason every time i tried to select the download thing my computer kept freezing so i gave up... i got a load of cds made though so if you PM me an address i'll stick one in the post to you!
