6. Epiphone flying V bass (My sisters) in really good condition a few very minor scrapes around the back bottom edge of the guitar and a few more tiny scuffs n scrapes on the tip of the headstock, they won't show up in pics and you really have to be looking pretty closely and in the right light to see them... it really is in suprisingly good condition (for her). also of slightly more significance the epiphone logo has been removed (half of it fell off the other half was then intentionaly removed) Musicman stingrays, especially black/black/maple have caught her eye recently so a trade for something with that look (but not that price tag) would be cool, OLP or similar... if no one has anything she's interested in i'll try and find out how much these are 2nd hand (can't seem to find any through the quick search i've just done) and see if she'll be happy to sell and use the money to buy a new bass elsewhere. if you want anymore pictures or info just ask and i'll get her to sort some more. cheers matt

10. yeah those SUBs are pretty good, took me selling mine on to realise that though!
11. Figured i should probably start a thread for Gray as he doesn't seem to have one here yet. i've just succesfully completed a trade deal with him in which he kept me informed of what was going on every step of the way, he posted the bass out quickly and was just generally a nice chap to deal with! i'd have absolutely no problem buying/selling or trading with him again or recomending anyone else do the same Enjoy the hohner mate, now i've just gotta try to get to grips with the ashbory! cheers matt
12. one is the pickup selector, neck pickup-both on-bridge pickup the other is a phase switch i just tried to explain the phase switch, then re-read my ramblings and in the end i think its probably easier for you to just look at the manual! than try to decifer what the hell i'm going on about!
13. hmmmm, i was wondering where my gas for a white p-bass had gone... there it is.
14. thanks for the replies/offers gents, neither of those basses are quite what i'm after (yeah i know, it would have probably helped if i was more specific to begin with!) gonna go through the PM's i've recieved now and let you guys know what i think... there quite a few fenders on offer which for some reason amuses me. i'll start giving the trade thing a bit more thought now and list a few more alternatives (there are some lovely basses on here at the moment giving me inspiration) keep the offers coming!
15. there's a bit of an appreciation thread thats started on here (by me!) - good pics, info and words of praise etc click here
16. i have a black Peavey T-40 with a maple neck from 1983 that i'm considering letting go (purely because i have 2 the same and it seems a bit OTT) its in pretty good shape for something (almost) as old as i am, a few dings and scrapes here and there but nothing too serious. I replaced the toggle switch for the pickup selection because it was broken but i couldn't find the exact type (check the pics, the replacement is smaller) i also bought a replacement truss rod cover as it was missing, other than that everything is original to the best of my knowledge. since replacing the selector switch i bought the right type of toggle from a T40 parted out on ebay (US) which is the exact one but i haven't got round to fitting it yet (soooooo many pickguard screws!!!) so i'll either fit it for you if want or leave it as it is or include it so you can solder it in yourself at some point... your call. anyone who wants more pictures or whatever just drop me a PM and i'll sort it, i have a few more pictures of the bass and i took some more close up shots of the imperfections but i don't really want to overload the post with billions of pics (i think the ones above give enough to go on for sparking initial interest or not) Thanks Matt
17. yep and if anyone looks at that list and discovers their T-40 is from 1982 and wants to sell or trade it let me know! i have an obsessive need to buy any i can find from the year i was born! i have a black 1983 t40 as a potential trade here
18. try here its got some information on various peavey models and if you scroll down it has serial numbers and what year they are from...
