3.
Lovely stuff...... if that Eagle wasn't pink I'd have that off you in a second!
+1. hmmm maybe i could introduce it to some sandpaper? question is do i have the time or the patience!? answer is probably not! good luck with the sale though!
 4.
Sweet basses man, i got me a tobias toby pro 5B custom and they're exceptional basses for the money. That grendel looks pretty sweet too, though i'm a neck thru man myself. Also that's an MTD grendel just so you know, MTD is still owned by Michael Tobias whereas Tobias was founded by him and is now owned by gibson, two entirely different companies, very similar basses though.
ha! it was me giving you a history lesson on all things tobias in another thread a while back! anyways, yeah cheers mate, and once again to be the pedantic git i am, this grendel was made before the whole MTD company brand name thing was sorted... hence why it doesn't have an MTD logo on it.
 5.
not seen one of those self adhesive pick holders for years
ha! yeah, its been on there for years! its not actually stuck on with the sticky pad though, couldn't bring myself to do that... its blu-tacked!
 6.
chris likes
cheers chris, i'm pretty fond of them myself. toby pro for looks, grendel for sounds!
 7. Tobias toby pro 4 Grendel by Michael Tobias Design
 8.
There are Gotohs I found 'em on a different page.... check teh above link and then go to enclosed tuners they are no there..! Enjoy.
cheers for that mate, i had no idea where to start looking! matt
 9. i still want this but i'm still nowhere near you... are you absolutely sure postage isn't an option?! ...if not i'll start walking...
 10.
However: 1) Would it make the classifieds less interesting? There's some pretty cool stuff that comes up and, because I can handle my transactions responsibly I personally wouldn't want to deter people from posting ads for interesting stuff. 2) Would it result in basschat being less visible to search engines?
spot on. people have moaned about this time and time again, i was on bassworld and then when that went i didn't realise there'd even been a replacement, i just figured that was that. then one day i searched for the words 'tobias for sale forum' and there it was, only because of the for sale forum. it keeps it interesting having people come on with the sole intention of selling something, you get so many more visitors and ultimately so many more shiny things to drool over, and ok sometimes that can go wrong but it can anywhere. if people had to go through the whole post an introduction then chat for a bit before being able to get round to the reason they went here in the first place, i think alot of them would just go elsewhere. also (as people have probably already pointed out), if you don't like it, don't buy from people who have no posts (like ebay feedback) if i'm buying something i generally check the previous posts of that person to see if they're ok... i don't think any of you would be complaining if some 'johnny no posts' put a wal up for sale at a fiver would you!?
 11. if my grendel is anything to go by have a look at the czech made MTD (michael tobias design) basses (saratoga, kingston heir etc), mine feels really light and sounds and plays great.
 12. some of them are a bit scary but i think the eagle is one of the best looking bass shapes out there (especially in the tobacco burst one that custom shop one up there ^^^ its gorgeous. fact.) never had the opportunity to play one though... one day, one day
 13.
I was just about to send you the link for this bass! Ed
ha! ed you've seen me play 4 string... 6?! really?!? seriously don't reckon i could handle it, i'm too easily confused.
 14.
I agree.... for more trad stuff I'd suggest a Precision, for a more grinding/growling tone I'd suggest a Spector and for a more toppy/clicky Nu-Metal tone I'd suggest a Warwick....
sounds about right to me, also have a look at the bassists in bands you like and see what they use, pretty obvious but it works!
 15.
Even so that's a good price!! EDIT: actually it's suspiciously good... i notice a lot of scammers aren't particularly good in the field of grammar, spelling or punctuation because a lot of them are based in foreign countries, i'd be careful with that one to be honest. I can be pretty cynical as people have tried to scam me in the past but if i was going to buy that i'd go to london and check it out because i'm pretty sure i've seen those photos on ebay before.
and yeah it could well be dodgy, but then surely if you were gonna scam someone and steal all their cash you'd reply to there emails and phone calls!? if he's a scammer he aint got the knack of it yet!
 16.
Naaaah! My old Grendel's a much nicer bass - you did the right thing.
yeah i know... but the heart wants what it wants! loadsa basses!
 17. no way. i saw this on there months ago, but it didn't have pics and was a really vague post and when i called a few times i got no answer so i decided not to bother and bought something else. nuts. would've very much liked this at that price

 22. yeah, i got given one for christmas a couple years ago... they're really good, and definately improve your finger/hand/wrist strength stamina etc i just always forget to use it! never been that great at excercise...
 23.
I wasted 15 seconds of my life waiting for it to load, and as it hadn't managed it by then, I gave up. Anyone want any Grolsch straplocks? I've got a pretty large supply as I get paid in Grolsch for doing house band duties on Thursday nights.
i would! not cuz i'm too cheap to buy beer i just really don't like grolsch...
