1. Yeahhhh, great Scottish funk band. I learned of the Average White Band when I was at high school. We had a music teacher who had been in the band when they first started out at art college in Dundee. When the band decided to take it to London and make a go of it, the said music teacher wouldn't take the risk, and ended up in the system. Maybe that's why he was so cantankerous. He told the story with some bitterness ... Bad call, missing out on the funk like that. Oops!
2. Yeahhhhh! ... good call
3. I'm liking that clip. Nice one man!
4. Absolutely stunning! ... such nice grain on the body.
5. Unusual and very lovely Streamer. That's a great price.
6.
Some of the tracks were available a long time ago to listen to Zender's original recordings.
What? from Synkronized? You got any more info? I'd love to hear those!
7. I like both versions, in different ways ... I like the "journey" of the Mr.X bassline that Bubinga5 pointed out, although I prefer the Zender line as it's more focused and edgy. Zender missed the recording of the track because he had to rush to Paris to save his relationship with Mila Jovovic. Personally, I would have missed the whole album for an opportunity like that ... she hot! grrrrrrrrr!!!
8.
This one has wide neck:) Like a P bass
I'm telling you that it's not an SB-R60 ... this bass is a SB-700 The SB-R60 has eye-shaped fret markers, a 40mm nut, and a chrome bridge with 18mm string spacing. The neck on the SB-R60 is narrower at the nut, but wider towards the higher frets. If you measure the nut on this bass you'll find that it's 45mm, with 16mm string spacing at the bridge (which is obviously brass), dot fret markers too ... like a SB-700. Dude, I'm just trying to help. I love this bass. Infact, I'd take it if I had a spare £450. You might want to advertise it under it's correct model number though.
9. That's a nice arsenal of Warwicks, to be sure. That said, you're meant to list the value in the appropriate box when posting items for sale. Pay your money to Basschat, and try posting these ad's again as this thread will be removed as soon as a moderator sees it. Paying the small fee to basschat is no big deal when selling items of this value, surely.
10. I'm sure that the SB-R60 is one of the wider necked SB's which are identifiable by eye-shaped fret markers and a chrome (not brass) tail-piece. Isn't this an SB700?
11. That is a really lovely bass. You've restored it beautifully.

Have you posted on the Warwick forum yet? ... you might get a bite there.
13.
or like a patient at a GU clinic.
Ooooo, now we're talkin'!
14.
Is the Schaller a straight replacement on a Fender? Or do you need to drill extra holes..? From what I can see it's a three-hole fitting.
No, it's not a straight replacement on a Fender. The 3D bridge has 3 screw positions which don't line up with those on a Fender bass. You would need to drill.
15. It oozes sex ... like accountancy or paracetamol does.
16. I'm aware that Jack Bruce, John Taylor, and Cliff Burton were players of Aria SB's... but which other famous bassists have been known to play them?
17.
I bought this album when it was released, knowing nothing about Stanley Clarke other than that he was supposed to be brilliant. I put it on at a friends' house on the way home and got mocked for weeks.
It has some amazing moments though ... the bass duets with Armand Sabal Lecco. Fantasy love? on the same album as THIS?! ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PNou06n0ft4
18.
Maybe this should be in the fun video thread
Haha! nah, this guy is way too serious about the romance .... baulk!
19. Jesus wept ... is this the low ebb in Stanley Clarke's tour de fromage? The album East River Drive, which this song is from, has some cheesy moments (a couple of great ones too), but this takes the cracker. It's not even from the 80's. Argh! ... 20.
So I'm okay to go ahead and spend my pennies on the Schaller?
Do it! it's an excellent piece of kit
21. Let see the videos which you think are most FUN Here's a suggestion. I can't watch this without smiling. Love this .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8vBDET3kbI
22.
don't judge or buy an instrument only with soundclips (played by another guy, with his set up, strings, etc).
Thank you for your concern Nobo, I wont ... and certainly not with a Fender
23. ebaygonewrong, a question for you ... When asked what colour the hardware is on the SB1000, why did you say that the tuners are gold plated, when the bass in the last three photos that you put up "the actual bass that you're selling" has chrome tuners?
24.
That seems to have been removed.
Nah, it's still up ...
