1. we did a walk on to the armageddon score once or twice, was pretty cool
2.
Was the tape running slowly? It may be possible to load the tracks into a DAW and speed them up and increase the pitch accordingly, perhaps by running it through a tape sim plugin.
This reaper in fact lets you change the pitch to a half a tone up or down or you can adjust manually i imagine audacity etc will do the same
3. normally bands im in make a rule to plough on regardless, normally one or two of us a correct enough (usually the rhythm section) to allow the others to catch up. we did it once in front of a few hundred people, but we ploughed on and managed to pull it back after a few bars and stormed the rest of the song. luckily ive never been in a situation where it has been a total car crash and hard to start again
4. singer, lyricist, co writer, organiser, motivator, gig booker, arse kicker..... i think i pretty much do everything
5. think it was about 5 years for me, but i had a long period in there where i didn't play at all and then started up again
6. im gonna try and get in on this, i need to really
7. i'm going to have a go at this this weekend, not done country before, should be fun
8. release it online over itunes, spotify etc using tunecore or some such, then make up a batch on your own
9. sign up to bbc introducing, that will normally get you local air play and potentially onto the radio 1 play lists etc
10. id rather have a great sounding 100 quid squier than a sh*t sound bass that just happens to have name to it. if a band or individual thinks less of you because of the axe you play then they are arses
11. i wear ear plugs in practices cos i know for a fact we are too loud, the fact we have to mic the kick drum says so. one of our guitarists is already half deaf so cranks loudly, for me and the other guitarist to hear we have to go louder. its not be unknown for my rig to be at 75% just so i can hear myself. its daft. there is no need to be loud at practice, its just an ego massage otherwise
12. im going to get back involved this month
13. ive heard good things about the adams
14. ive got some of these i paid bout 200 add the time for them http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/StudiophileAV40.html and they are awesome. you can obviously get more powerful ones, but ive had no issues with these. for 350 you can probably get some high end ones second hand
15. also check this out http://lepouplugins.blogspot.co.uk/ his amps are pretty good
16. i have a copy of peavey revalver, one of the older ones. my only issue with it is it does feel a bit metal, it appears to be clean or full throttle. i use a mixture of that and podfarm usually
17. i'll play wherever and whenever i get chance to, i just love gigging. not gigged since march last year, so starting to get annoyed at not having a gig
18. i may make a comeback this month, if i get time
19. i move around and interact with the crowd, other members etc as much as i can, i used to hide away at the back a bit, but then i grew into it. a lot of it comes from confidence, both in what you are playing and yourself. i've been known to disappear into the crowd at times, in fact there is a picture somewhere of me in the crowd and the rest of the band on the stage... cos im odd like that
20. it really came down to two for me, both of which we excellent, but one just made me smile more so i went with that
21. As long as it isnt just me then. It occured to me last night that i stil had jason newstead staring at me and nothing new. No mention of it on the website either
22. I may just be missing something. But has issue 90 for april come out yet?
23. im so downloading this when i get home
24.
Gaah! Yes, you've just reminded me: it's only just been launched, but I was told that this was basically an attempt to do just that http://www.musicgateway.net/
think i will check this shizzle out
