i used to find i can't remember the notes in the next section of the song... ive learnt to tell my brain to shut up and let me hands work it out

as a 1984 kid, think id like a Wal bass from that year... i doubt ill be able to afford it tho

i like the idea, ive known plenty of new players who wan't to be in a band but have never had the confidence to work with people who may be better than them. playing in a band adds an extra edge to your playing, id like to think the guy has a kind heart and is looking to help people achieve dreams, even if its only on a small scale, seems a nice story given how bad humanity can be at times

i used to own a tnt, it was a massive heavy thing with one hand to lift it as if it was some small combo amp, took 2 people to move the thing. if the new ones are easier to transport id suggest one of them as they are good sounding amps

after reading some reviews i ended up going for a tc electronics hall of fame... well happy with the results

for me it mostly comes down to price, and what you get for your money ive been at studios which has sh*t gear, but then charges low prices, ive also seen places that have sh*t gear but charge stupid prices. deals for block or regular bookings are always handy

ive got one, but ive found myself using cables more now, whilst its handy, its just an extra box to carry and an extra thing to set up. they are good tho if you are in the right setting

some of the pubs round here are funny about being over 18 venues, generally the best bet is just not mention it and make sure hes not drinking and then its not an issue im sure its not illegal for someone of 15 to be in a pub, as long as they don't drink

the best bass distortion ive ever used is an ibanez pd7 phat hed, had mine nearly 10 years and works nicely on passive and active basses

hey guys, ive been playing around with my sound, buying various pedals, trying different effects over the years. i have currently narrowed it down to essential clean, and distortion/overdrive. i am looking to bring a touch of reverb into my sound, not massive echo or anything, but just a touch ive tried using my zoom b2.1 to achieve this, but i didnt get on with it as the unit seems to force a tone on you which i don't like. so now im looking for a reverb/delay pedal in order to get sound. does anyone have any advice on what pedals would be worth a look, i don't want to spend a massive amount on something as its not going to be the main focus of my sound, but something robust and decent sounding would be great

so how "polished" do our compositions have to be? or is it just the vibe we are aiming at and not a full produced masterpiece

if its any consolation, ive played on shows with at least 3 of the bands on that label.... and they were in pubs or small venues with not a lot of people, they may not do as well as they are hoping

im probably past 50 by now, i go through periods where i do them then don't do them for months... think i only managed one in 2009, and the same in 2010, and ive only done 1/2 so far this year

Ive used the ernies, pretty good for the money, last longer than your standard, ive had some on for nearly a year and they are only now needing replacement.
