    ive tried fenders, warwicks, rotosounds but the only ones ive ever really got on with are ernie balls. the coated ones i put on my jazz bass ages ago are still as nice as ever, bit more pricey than the standard ones but worth every penny

    i started a gig with the volume on my amp turned down once... that was embarrasing almost stacked it over a monitor when i jumped into the crowd, but i managed to get rebalanced before it got messy

    or is it really annoying when you try to keep your basses in good condition, and you find that you have acquired some new dents/dings. i sat down to find that my bass has acquired 3 new impact dings..... i wouldnt mind but ive not touched the thing in 2 weeks.... annoying to say the least

    my first was a song by my old band called "our name in lights" it was in some dark venue in norwich, the marquee i think? played it on my trusty ibanez edb400.. i was 23 i think... having said that i did player an open party where lots of blues songs were played.... i was playing most of the night so i assume we must have played a song... be damned if i can remember which ones tho

    im forever picking up foreign radio stations through my bass and amp at home..... which is annoying cos i struggle to pick up uk radio stations in the house!!

    hey guys, really hoping you can help me the jack on my ibanez edb605 appears to have broken. it looks like one of the contacts in the socket has snapped and therefore it isn't making a proper connection when i put the lead in. i need to find a replacement, but i don't really know where to find one from. im wondering if one of you tech savvy bass geniuses would be able to help me out and point me in the right direction towards one. i believe it is a stereo , and the bass is active if its any help. ive posted some pictures, ive looked around and i can't seem to find one that looks the same :S cheers in advance

    i say tell them to naff off, they can't leave then all of a sudden decide to stay and expect you to jump when they call, especially as its all been done by text. tell them to naff off, and replace them and carry on with the band

    just do what i do and use the same chords but play them in different strum patterns, order and tempo's

    for me the job of the bass is to hold the groove and drive of the song along with the drums, if you can keep that tight everything else can build off it

    hi guys i am selling my behringer bx4500h with its un branded 4 x 10. the amp is about 2 years old, it has been gigged but it is in perfect working order basically im selling it cos ive upgraded my rig so its not been used and its a good amp going to waste. i will post some pictures this evening for you im looking for around £175 for it combined (would rather sell the bundle than break it down) but obviously i will be open to offers. pick up would be prefered also cheers

    hey guys as promised photo's of the bass. apologies for the poor quality, i will try to get some better ones there is a very minor almost unnoticable crack in the paintwork at the cutaway but other than that its in great condition

    ok guys, so at the moment im suffering from major inability to be creative or even play bass properly (which resulted in a pretty shambolic gig in the week), probably due to being highly stressed out recently. has any one else had a time when they just pick up their bass and completely forget how to play it and find it hopeless? if so got any ideas or suggestions on how to break out of the slump. i am currently trying to go back to basics and working on some old bass exercises and playing some songs that i used to play when i first got the love for the bass, but its still not working... im contemplating putting it down and leaving it for a few days/week. help!

    hey guys, im looking for some help ive got an ibanez edb605 which i bought in 2003, and when i was adjusting the neck last night, i found that the nut at the end of the truss has rounded off/stripped, so none of my allen keys are able to get any grip, and as such i cant adjust the neck. does anyone know if i can easily replace this nut? and if so where would i be able to get one suitable? cheers guys
