  1. I reckon Vanderkley are an amazing cab. Like Epifani used to be!! I sold my 112to Count Bassy as my requirements changed but it was the best 12 I have ever heard. Im thinking of going back and getting a pair of them or a 210 and 112 combination.
  2. Bump for price drop
  3. Bump
  4. Correct I checked it out and my version is the Wem Dominator A P 45w It seems to have an old RCF speaker in there, a 15 This amp sounds amazing
  5. Withdrawn for now
  6. Ok This post is updated. Having downsized my whole set up this rig is now for sale. The Aguilar DB659 and the PPA600 from Trace Elliot. This thing sounds amazing. I owned a DB750 and this thing nails it Thanks
  7. This cab is still available It in great condition and never had much use
  8. I have a Markbass F1 in excellent condition. I also have a Markbass 210 Traveller cab which is in good nick also. Alternatively I have an Aguilar DB659 preamp and Trace Elliot PA600 power amp in SKB case.
  9. Hi Are you accepting any amplifier or cab trades against this? Chees
  10. Hi Yes I have pics but cant post them on the add for some reason PM your normal email address and I will forward them on Thanks
  11. Up for sale is my Markbass Traveller 210 cab. Its an 8ohm cab, very light yet with 400 watts handling. Its in great shape, no damage, tears or marks other than the usual light scuffs on the plastic corners. Can send anywhere by courier at a cost of £35. Thank you
  12. Cheers for the replies guys Yeah its a strange thing about instruments. At the end of the day they have to create music and in order to have a favorite instrument you need to connect with it. Spending 10k on a high end bass will ensure you get a fantastic instrument but it wont guarantee that you bond with it. Thankfully on this occasion I have and it cost me a lot less than 10k
  13. Id just go and buy a Fender, 9/10 out of the worlds top players cant be wrong
  14. I finally gave in and got a Fodera to see what the fuss was about and I have to admit that as soon as I picked it up I had that pre CBS Fender bond thing. It felt like an old friend. Plays like a demon and sounds amazing. The build quality is 10/10 as in every aspect is perfect, no minor flaws or blemishes at all (take not Jimmy Coppolo!) The balance is unreal and the sound is spot on. Im one of the guys who slated their price tag and status but I have to say the status is deserved. However I still feel they are overpriced. My bass for example retails at about $10,000! I didnt pay near that but I have to say they do deserve to be one of the more expensive basses out there but not twice the price of their nearest rival. But that aside they are the bomb![attachment=154196:IMG_0823.jpg]
  15. Hi would you take my Mark Bass traveller 210 as part ex? Its in good condition, no marks, tears or dings ? It was never pushed, only used in small gigs
  16. yes
  17. I used to own the 112 MNT and it was the best 12 Ive ever heard. Really smooth sound, really well made and light Ive heard the 210 version is also amazing Id go for it
  18. Thats a Man's Man of an amplifier. Who did you buy it off, Chuck Norris? GLWS
  19. My local repair tech is extremely experienced and has seen every brand of amp on his bench at some stage. He even manufactures his own valve amps. He is very complimentary of other brands particularly Ampeg and Trace from a repair point of view and Genz Benz for using good power modules. However he advised me to steer clear of TC Electronic amps, so thats one brand I wouldnt go for.
  20. Now, when it comes to 5 strings I would run straight for Musicman agreed!, best pound for pound 5 string out there in my opinion, But as musch as I love Musicmans their 4 strings have big low end and clear treble but not enough in between for me and thats the only reason I dont play one regularly. But lets all stop this bickering at once and agree that the Jazz bass is the only true weapon out there LOL!
  21. Cheers Im not sure which one I have now, must inspect it,. It defo doesnt say bass anywhere though
  22. OK Allow me to affirm my position here If I had to choose Id go with the Musicman, but not a recent one as I reckon the late 80's and early 90's versions are nicer than the current crop of Ernie Ball Musicmans. However, it cant be ignored that the vast majority of gigging musicians out there go for either a Fender Jazz or Precision bass and you rarely see Musicmans. I know the bass player from AC/DC used one to great effect as did Pino obviously and Flea for a while but it seems they all gravitate back to Fender for some reason. I prefer Musicman basses personally but P bass might be a better all round option but again it depends on the style of music you want to play. Its harder to play slap on a P bass for example
  23. Cracking amp Im not sure what version I have but it has two channels. Channel one has a bright switch the other channel does not. It sounds amazing on bass with the old 15" speaker. I dont play it too loud though as its only 45 watts or so
