  1. This bass used to be mine The neck feels like a lovely pre CBS Fender But what is most striking is the colour. I have owned a few candy apple reds over the years but the dept and quality of the paint job on this one was amazing. Its the first thing everybody comments on when they see the bass. Then they start to go nuts about the feel of the neck and the playability. And thats before they plug it in!
  2. I have owned server Custom Shop Jazz Basses and my opinion of them is that in general they are not worth the money! A few of those that I have owned were reliced and to be honest I though the Custom shop was completely missing the mark on how the instruments age. They were tarnishing all the hardware, over-rusting the screws and bridges etc. The relicing on the bodies was good but they just seemed unrealistic when compared to the real thing. However, having just seen my first John Cruz Jazz bass from the Cunetto era Ive been blown away and my faith has been completely restored. These instruments are as close to the real deal as it is possible to get. Aged to perfection, ie I saw one in a shop in Dublin and it was hanging on the wall beside an L series 64 pre CBS Jazz. I couldnt tell the difference apart from the slightly different tuning pegs that the Custom Shop use. I was so impressed that I bought the bass, and it wasnt cheap. But it stands as the best Fender I have ever owned and that goes ahead of my 71, my 65 and a few later 70's ones. I certainly licks any of the previous Custom Shop basses I have owned. Also, the John Cruz is a Masterbuilt instrument, It commands a huge price new and the Cunetto era ones are really sought after. So this bass here is not only a fabulous instrument but its likely to be a good investment for somebody. Good luck with sale
  3. Yeah, your right They are very helpful over there. I actually spoke to Kevin in Sadowsky a few weeks ago to get full info on the bass and he had everything on file about it. He just mentioned that the pickups were Sadowsky J pickups. Ill get in touch with him again and let you know

Body is alder and neck is Pau Ferro also known as Morado. Picups are Sadowsky J's Preamp is Sadowsky with the Vintage Tone Control which was a Sadowsky Retro fit Its in great condition, only one small pressure dent on the lower bout between the strap button and the input jack This bass as a list of over $4000 and thats before shipping and customs from US. So this really is a bargin for a cracking bass Thanks [attachment=144073:IMG_0632.jpg] [attachment=144074:IMG_0633.jpg] [attachment=144075:IMG_0634.jpg]

  15. Exchange rate I reckon, seller obviously has a rounded off euro figure that he needs to get which translates to that in pounds Beautiful bass by the way, Laklands are amazing. Unlike Sadowsky NYC/Metros there is a huge difference between US Laklands and Skylines in my opinion, not that Skylines are bad though. Lakland necks feel pre CBS, ie smooth, slim and with a broken in feel, even when new Good luck with sale
