18. I am selling my Tacoma Thuderchief Bass. As most of you will know Tacoma has now gone out of business. Their Acoustic Bass guitars are generally regarded as the best available. The reason they were so popular is that they developed a special bracing system which amplified the volume of the acoustic sound significantly. This bass really is loud. These basses were hand made in the US before they shipped production to the far east before finally going out of business. The standard model was the CB 10 and these sell on ebay nowadays for about $1200-$1500 depending on condition. Mine is a rare upgraded model. Its the CB 28 C. It has a sunburst finish over flame maple. Ebony neck. Pearl inlays and Tort binding around the body. These originally retailed at twice the price of the standard models. Mine is further unique in that it was specially made for a well known US country musician called John Cowan. It has "ARTIST" stamped into the body on the inside to signify it as a one off. It also has special pearl inlays on the fretboard. My bass is in excellent condition. Not a scratch anywhere, just a small blemish in the laquer on the headstock. It comes with a deluxe Tacoma Hardcase and im looking at offers around £1300 for it Thanks
19. I used to own a Sadowsky very similar to this accept it had a flame maple finish on top. To be honest the older Sadowskys are the ones to have because they have slilmmer necks than the new ones, they dont have that any tapering at the heel (new ones do), they have better bridges and they are light due to the choice of hand picked body woood and not due to the chambered bodys of the new ones. Id still love a new one though! Good luck with the sale.

The neck is similar in dimension to a pre cbs jazz. However, the laquer they use over the graphite makes it really smooth to play, always staying slick and it nevers gets sticky like a heavily finished 70's Fender! Its just perfect!

I Know, I really should keep and may just do that. I had wanted one of these since the day I first held one about 12 years ago! However, Im back playing Fender Jazz basses exclusively and that seems to be the sound that suits me best rather than the huge low, zingy high that comes out of the Flea bass.
