1. I am selling my 1977 Precision Bass. Its in the classic black with black scratchplate and maple neck (think Phil Lynot or Roger Waters) This bass is in excellent condition with just a few minor nicks, and a little laquer nick or two on the neck and the body. It only weighs 8.5lbs which is exceptionally light for a 70's Fender. It is 100% original (the nut was replaced with a brass one in 1978, which was a typical mod at the time) Serial number on the back of the scratchplate matches the one on the headstock. Pots date to 1976, pickups, wiring, thunbrest and all hardward is 100% original. It has a beautiful straight neck with low action and the truss rod has never needed attention. The bass comes withs its original chrome bridge cover but I dont have the pickup one. It comes with a Fender vintage re-issue case as shown. Price £1700 I think this is a fair price for a light, original Fender is this condition. It will of course go up in value as these become more difficult to find! 3.
783 actually! God I love being pedantic!! From a previous owner of one of these instruments I can honestly say that anyone who buys this will NOT be disappointed. They are tonal giants!! BTW, different strap nuts on this to the originals supplied. Also, isn't the case 'oxblood' with black velvet interior? This seller has the original case its burgandy / Oxblood (same thing) and by gold he means the metal parts of the case. Cheers Paul

5.
I'm not sure that neck is bolted on securely... does it feel loose? Lovely looking bass.
Yeah, I sure hope you dont need to take off the neck to adjust the truss rod like the old Fenders, now that would be a pain in the ...
6. By MB do you mean Mark Bass or Mesa Boogie? Coz I have a gorgeous Boogie 210 if your interested Paul
7. I havent been able to PM Id like to make you an offer Can you pm me on this Cheers Paul
8. Hi Just wondering why you were looking to change? As I am thinking about getting that very rig that you are presently using. I have a US Ampeg SVT in perfect condition by the way. I use it with the macthing 410 and 115 cabs. I tried the 610 HLF but I found that this was a much better combination, much warmer and more punch. Valve bliss! Thanks Paul
9. Sure is rare, it was all white or sunburst back then Good vintage instruments are a great investment, you get to play and enjoy them will they sit there increasing in value. And why are they worth so much? Well compare any bass such as a Fodera, Alembic etc to a nice vintage Fender Jazz and youll take the Jazz any day I reckon, feel and sound and most of all MOJO
10.
Tell me about it! Hiya Paul, thanks for the offer but as I said above, I kinda need something between Markbass and Mesa in tone if I trade. Cheers Chris
No worries Chris, I reckon the Aguilar heads would be right up your alley. You should check them out. Cheers Paul.
11. Have to bump this, too nice to be sitting down there in the dark!
12. Hi Chris I have a mint Markbass F1 head and 2 Aguilar GS112 speakers, both in perfect condition (ie no marks, skuffs etc) Would this setup tickle your fancy? Paul

14. I like that amp Chris. And good value at a grand also. Have an auld bump!
15. My Sadowsky is now sold but this 71 is still available. I have had lots of offers and I am willing to look at a nice 4 string bass with cash adjustment. This really was the nicest jazz bass I ever played and I have tried many, its just that I now have a pre CBS which has even more mojo! Remember, its all original, in good condition, rare custom colour and its light! Thanks Paul
16. I have this bass and My 71 Jazz still for sale. I am selling both as I have acquired a pre CBS Jazz which I love. I can only play one jazz at a time so .........
17. Lots of interesting offers but this bass is still for sale. Genuine, all original lightweight 71 jazz in a custom colour.
18.
Selling my Alembic Rogue 4 str bass. The bas is in excellent shape. Playability, craftsmanship and sound is of well-known Alembic excellence. These guys mean business when they build an instrument! It is a killer slap hand bass, amongst other things. Basically, you can tweak this instrument to get the sound you want. I have used this bass for about a year, played a few gigs but mostly kept it in my home nice and safe. It has not been in much use lately as I have converted to five strings, so I have finally decided to let it go in order to finance some other projects. These basses are not cheap for sure but I can promise that anyone who tries this instrument will not be disappointed. Anyone who HAS tried an alembic will know what I am talking about. The best word I can think of is that this bass is flat-out EXCITING to play and my personal opinion is that this particular bass also looks very nice! Check out the pictures. Checking with the www.alembic.com website I will estimate this bass would sell for some 9000 USD new. However, I bought it with a pleasant discount here in Oslo, Norway, paying the equivalent of about GBP 3900 . It is in the same condition as it were when I hbought it new, allowing of course for careful use during a few gigs and practice sessions. I am asking GBP 2900 for the bass and it is worth it. It comes with a rock-solid alembic case. I will ship anywhere, at least in principle ;-).
HI Are you accepting trades for this bass, I have a beautiful 71 jazz bass or a NYC 5 string Sadowsky to trade if your interested Thanks Paul
19.
Crikey, what's my 66' Candy Apple Red bass in un-touched condition worth? I have to say I paid very little more for it a few years ago than this one... Lovely bass, and CARs are the most desirable. They made very very few in the later 60s and 70s - all special order.
Your 66 is probably worth close on 5k to be honest. I saw an olympic white one sell for 4.5k in the Gallery a couple of years ago! All desirable vintage Fenders just keep increasing in value as the nice ones are so hard to find.
20. Just wanted to mention that I am willing to look at trades for this Sadowsky.
21.
Why the need to bump after 1 minute of bumping
Rough night on the beer last night, Im surprised I even managed to bump the correct bass!
