1. I am selling a gorgeous US Lakland 5 Sting. Its the deluxe model with a natural quilted maple top, birdseye maple neck and the bartolini pickups and preamp. The bass is immaculate and comes with its original Lakland case and documentation. The back of the headstock was signed by Joe Lakin. Im looking for £2100 (This beautiful bass is still for sale, its the nicest Lakland Ive seen but unfortunately I just cant manage a 5 string) Feel free to mail me for more pics Paul
 2.
Hello all! I bought this lovely instrument from Bob Palt back in March this year, with the intention of using it for regular radio sessions with my band. The truth is that I've barely touched it in the time that I've owned it (it's mostly served as a pretty but costly ornament for the living room!), and now that I've left the aforementioned band I think it would be a good time to move it on... The bass is in very good condition throughout, and it's stayed that way since I've owned it. The only ding of any significance is a small fingernail-sized depression in the top (underneath the G-string by the bridge), apparently caused by the previous owner's wife whilst hoovering! I've included a photo of this below. It's beautifully put together and sounds great, whether played acoustically or plugged in. Plenty of unplugged volume too! Since owning it I've fitted a set of D'addario Chromes flats, which I think are the perfect strings for this instrument- they cut scratchy string noise down to a minimum, and sound fat with either pick or fingers! It's fitted with the LR Baggs 3-band EQ, which also features a phase-reversal switch to help combat feedback. It comes complete with the enormous Tacoma fitted hardcase (in very good condition), plus case candy: case key, truss-rod tool, preamp instructions, Tacoma catalogue, plus a Dampit soundhole humidifier with instructions. I'll also throw in the old D'addario Phosphor Bronze roundwounds previously fitted to the bass. I'm looking for a firm £475 for this beauty. ***EDIT: NOW SOLD PENDING PAYMENT!*** Shipping can be arranged at extra cost, or you can collect it in person from Liverpool city centre! I can also deliver this within reasonable distance of Merseyside if my fuel costs are covered... Thanks for looking! Hi Etienne Is this bass sold If not Im interested Paul
 3.
For sale - a stupendously beautiful Wechter ABG. Wechter hand-builds in his Indiana shop for some of the world's most accomplished acoustic (and electric) players - McLoughlin, Helborg etc. I got this bass in a cash plus cab deal (with 6stringbassist). It's too big for me and too beautiful to just have hanging around as an ornament (I only really play short-scale). I know the original commissioning purchaser of the bass and know its full history. The bass is less than three years old and in absolutely perfect condition - it comes with its TKL custom case (again, in excellent condition). The bass started life as a fretless but was fretted by Martin at the Gallery (at the request of 6stringbassist) late last year. It's an unbelievable job, as you'd expect from Martin - the rosewood binding is absolutely untouched! The bass is currently strung with TI flats and the action is lower than most electric basses - in fact, it could use a quick tweak as there's a tiny bit of buzz at the first fret. The board is rosewood bound ebony on a (very slender and comfortable) walnut neck. The top is subtly figured solid spruce and features an abalone rosette. The back and sides are very highly figured curly maple with a brown cremona finish. The split saddle bridge is beautifully carved and appears to be end-capped with ebony. The custom electronics are by Fishman - the jack socket is integrated with the strap pin. Tone is just gorgeous - full, sophisticated and warm. Amplified, the bass offers a very passable upright sound with flats. With rounds, it's possible to achieve a much brighter, though still warm and full tone (I've used the bass through an Epi ul502 with a ul112 - absolutely lush!) I have around £1000 in this bass and don't want to take a big hit - I will sell at £950 but this is a firm price (and frankly, an absolute bargain for a hand-built instrument of such quality). The 9400 model is priced at $4800 in the US, including the Fishman custom pickup (fitted by Wechter from new). It would cost at least £3400 to get a bass like this into the UK. Check Talkbass etc. for thoughts on these - amongst the most (if not the most) revered and spectacular ABGs around. You can also check-out the Wechter site at: http://www.wechterguitars.com/customs/9400_bass Collection in Manchester is highly preferable given the size of the bass and case, but I can ship if necessary. Professional packing will be necessary as I don't have a carton of sufficient size. I can ship to most parts of Europe and the US (with insurance and at the buyers cost of course). I can also deliver to London (Euston) but dates are limited. I'm more than happy to discuss details with any prospective buyers - just PM me and we can arrange a conversation (Edit for further details)
Hi How wide is the body at the widest point and how deep is the body at the deepest point? I am definately interested in this instrument. Are you ok with shipping to Ireland? I get stuff sent here from the gallery in London all the time. Courier charge for a guitar is usually 40-50 pounds Cheers Paul
 4.
Hi all, I am in 2 minds as to whether or not to sell my Lakland JO USA (pics below). Mint condition. Some of you will have seen it before I am sure. It is a lovely Bass, a one off custom paint job, with the LED's on the neck, but I am not using it as it should be used and it is a lot of money to have sat around doing nothing! Would anyone be interested? Next question is how much... I have a figure in mind of around 1500 (bloody pound sign just packed up on the keyboard!!) Could also be open to exchanges - I am gasing for a Warwick Dirty blonde (4 string) Any Offers?
Very nice Was that a custom colour from the factory our was the bass re-sprayed after that ?
 5.
Lovely lovely bass!!! Do you mean 2500 pounds
Sorry I do mean 2500 pounds. But as I said, Ill consider a reasonable offer on it. As mentioned it is in mint condition. It also has Lakin's signature on the back of the headstock. I just dont play 5 string any more.

 7.
I've got a pair of Acme B2 cabs. I also use a Barefaced Compact from time to time. 8.
I've been half heartedly trying to sell this cab for over a year, but now sadly it really does have to go. It's a Mesa Boogie Road Ready 1x15, 400 watts, 8 ohm, EV speaker, 3" castors and locking front board included. It's 10 years old and in very good condition. It's always lived in my back room and has usually travelled in the car with me to gigs. I've had it from new. I brought it from the Bass Cellar in Denmark Street when they were Boogie main dealers. I used this as part of a stack with a Boogie 2x10 (already gone) for 9 years and I'd still be using it but as old age creeps up I have needed to go light! I also have to start clearing the back room of my gear! It's 24.5" w x 18" d x 19.5" h or 620mm w x 460mm d x 495mm h and weighs about 80lbs ish, I know that's heavy but the castors do most of the work. The solid handles make it an easy lift, as well. The fantastic EV speaker gives out a huge, fat and punchy tone and, in spite of what others might tell you, it combines really well with a 2x10 or 4x10! If anyone wants to hear this cab PM me and we can work something out. I'm looking for £350. I can deliver within 30 miles of Kingston, Surrey, or further if you're on the way to a gig. PS I'll give it a dust!!
Hi Would you be willing to ship to Ireland. Id be willing to pick up the tab of course Cheers Paul
 9.
Cool set up! I run the Aguilar DB680 into an Eden WT1000, so almost the same. It sounds stupendously good. The DB659 is the little brother of the DB680 and from all accounts sounds bloody brilliant!
Hi, What cabs are you running with?
 10.
How much are you selling the Aguilar for? Thanks
Sorry but I dont want to split them Poweramps are hard to sell on their own
 11.
Ow do all, I have a Mesa M-Pulse 600 2x12 combo for trade. This unit is is new condition, never been giged, used for only 4 months from new. has custom made padded cover, Mesa foot switch & manual. Mesa renamed this combo the M-Pulse Venture 600. As far as I can tell the spec is the same as is for my combo. My combo looks like this http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Bas...ure/Venture.htm The manual for my combo is http://www.mesaboogie.com/manuals/M-Pulse.pdf I need a light weight set up, something of same used value is what I am after. Has to be quality and in first class condition. The Mesa sells new for around £1900 new, so sensible offers only please. Although I do recognize my combo is 2nd hand & would value it at £900ish. Let me see what ya got. Ta very glad Dale
I have an aguilar/Eden rack mount set up to trade if your interested. The Preamp is an Aguilar 659 single unit tube preamp with built in Jansen DI. Gorgeous tone. The Poweramp is an Eden WT1000 which will give 1000 watts when run in bridged-mono mode into 4 ohms or 500 watts per side when run in stereo. THis poweramp has seperte volume and tone controls for each channel so you can really shape your sound. Both are in a nice SKB rack case and both are in mint condition, no scratches or damage of any kind. All the best Paul
 12.
you might want to clarify the eden element being a power amp and not a preamp,to help your sale. hope that helps good luck
Well spotted, thanks for that
 13.
were abouts in Ireland are you? i'd love to see pics
I live in Galway in the West Ill get some pictures on here later this week when I get my digital camera replaced. Cheers Paul
 14.
Confused, how do you run this...? a mono signal into stereo..? so not a true bi-amp unless you put a cross-over in there..? which the pre doesn't have. IIRC.. I'd still have GAS for the pre though..
From what I understand the signal from the pre-amp is passed into the power amp. The poweramp has two seperate amp units contained in it. one channel of the poweramp goes to one speaker or set of speakers and the other channel goes to the other speaker or set of speakers. The Preamp sends the same signal to both speakers (or speaker sets) but with a seperate volume and tone knob for each channel on the poweramp you (a) control the amount of signal that goes from each channel to the speakers ( alter the tone of each channel I currentl use this set up with a 410 and a 115 cab. I send full power to each cab but I have the tone knob cut back on the channel that feeds the 115 cab (giving more bottom) and the tone knob increased past 12 for the channel going to the 410 which gives it more clarity and definition. All in all sounds great
 15. With reluctance I am selling my Aguilar 659 preamp and Eden WT1000 stereo poweramp. I am looking for £800 for the pair. This price includes the flight case and both are in mint condition. They sound absolutely amazing. You can run the rig in stereo or mono bridged mode. The Aguilar is a single rack unit valve preamp (its actually the preamp section from the famous DB750) The Eden has seperate volume and tone controls for each channel so you can really shape your sound. I live in Ireland but I will use a courier to ship anywhere. If your interested I can send photos
Hi, I am using the only the power-amp section of the Eden at the moment, with the newly acquired Sadowsky pedal preforming preamp duties. I just can't get on with the valve-y sound of the preamp...I think I just want clean and loud. Considering just getting a QSC or similar and running the Sadowsky straight into that, but am interested also in amps by Hartke, Genz-Benz and Aguilar. Tea and biscuits also available if anyone wants to visit the rehearsal room to try it out. I am located in Waterford, Ireland. Thanks for looking. Nathan
