Looks like the pickup is in the right spot. I assume it does that growly Stingray sound and these necks are superb! I tried a Kingston Z5 and it had one of the tightest low B.
Sire headstock basically looks like grandpas socks pulled on a fence, and that Z7 Stingray lower horn is a lump..... Yet, they nailed the Stingray tone and Sire offers the HS version with 12" radius and stainless steel frets for around £600...I want one
I remember back in the 2000s when first tried these at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt. I was totally blown away by the quality and playability. especially when I compared these to the Fender American Vintage 75 jazz. Fenders were overpriced with crap setup and some QC faults, but Bacchus basses were impeccable.
This money is a steal for a high-end jazz. GLWTS
You can easily have these modified with upgraded electronics. I bet an East or Aguilar pre with a parallel/ series switch on the chrome plate this would be a tone monster.
