  1. Just reminds me how great sound I got from my good old SVT4 pro before I traded it (with great regret). This might be a silly question, but does the preamp have 3 tubes and the power amp is solid state just like the SVT4 pro?
  2. I've got the same cab and it sounds incredible. Ideal in any situation. One cab solution, one hand load.
  3. Keep it as it is and buy a few outboard preamps. It would give you the advantage of having the tonally most versatile jazz. Aguilar TH and DI, Nordy Starlifter, Sadowsky, MXR ...etc..
  4. This is a rare one! I guess ESP only produces them for Japanese Market. This price is great for an MIJ Lakland!
  5. Wow! Sounds like an excellent customer service from the producer! I am glad to hear this confirmation. I checked the rating of possible power-amps and I think I'd have enough clean headroom to play sensibly without distortion. I think an 800watts cab with a bridged power-amp provides enough headroom for clean sound too. The RBI has started to grow on me now....Thanks for the input guys!
  6. Cheers Thodrik, I agree. They’re great stuff, and it would be the best to try and hear the sound when the blend control is turned down for a transparent sound. If the amp doesn’t lose the bottom end and the clean ‘thickness’ remains there without colouring or overdriving the tone,it would be the deal for me. Thanks for you input.
  7. Cheers JapanAxe, I checked it and seems like a versatile preamp, but the slap sound still felt a bit overdriven to my ears.Might be just my phone speakers.....
  8. Hi Fellow Chaters Recently I’m trying to get into the pre-/poweramp setting game with my 410 cab.One of the options could be a rackmount Sansamp RBI with a Crown or QSC poweramp. The videos and reviews I’ve found are mostly about the driven ( SVT sort of...) sound, but cannot really hear that how it works with clean tone. Does this preamp do a Marcus Miller hifi slap, or a Jaco Pastorius tight back sound without colouring the sound of the bass? I’d appreciate any input here guys👍 Many thanks
  9. Absolutely agree😩It is just too bad to see the downfall of the original MetroExpress. These basses have become a downgraded entry level stuff. It seems to be the same category as the ‘Rockbass made by Warwick’ craps.
  10. It does. The current Metro Express received only appraisals for being the same quality as the Metros. German made Warwick will be easily on the same level I think, but Chinese made budget ones?I don't think so. They gonna substitute the ash and alder body with something else. Graphite bars and Hipshot hardware wont be in the specs....Pity cause I wanted a Metro Express, but this Metro-Rockbass Made in China thing just put me off.
  11. Epifani UL410 Bass Cabinet Cover in used but excellent condition. I believe it will fit and function with any guitar or bass cabs with the approximate dimension of 26.25H" x 23W" x17.75D" .It is an excellent choice for protecting your beloved cab during transport and storage. The cover is made out of quality and highly durable materials. Water-Repellent Soft Inner Lining Easy Clean-up with sponge and water Great as a Transport Cover, Storage Cover or Dust Cover Prefer collection in person, but I'm willing to post at the expense of the buyer. Thanks for looking.
  12. Tonal variety is huge on Sadowsky's. Their preamp allows you to dial the tone from a Jolana to Fodera or to other boutique jazzes😉 Try to imagine how it sounds with Dunlop, DR...etc nickel or stainless steel strings..... I use Labella Slapper on my Metro, and it CUTS in any situation.
  13. This A PURE STANDARD if you are a fan of jazz basses ! Could be a perfect match to my MV5.
  14. Please feel free to leave a feedback for Hoffbass here. Thanks
  15. Keith sold his Bergantino HS 410 to me two days ago.Cab sounds and looks as it should! He is a top bloke to deal with, and a highly recommended member! Thanks mate, Regards, Hoff
  16. Love 22 frets MTDs. The space look so comfortable between the neck and neck pup.Perfect bass
  17. Totally agree! The shape of a Classic MM is unbeatable. Never understood why they changed the look of 5 strings versions with that oversized pickguard
  18. Dream Stingray!HS 5,no oversized pickguard,mahogany tone block,maple fretboard!!This is a special one
  19. I can confirm that I have serial number 210 with warmoth stamps on the body and neck and it's still my pride and joy :-) As far as I know they put graphite rods in their metro necks since 2015.
