1. I bought an American vintage 75 Ri jazz, and changed the bridge for a badass ll,and strung with DR MM fat beams. The sound is unbelievable.Didn't want to change the original tone and just bought an Aguilar tone hammer (still testing it so finger crossed).Amazing combination! Few weeks ago tried a new american deluxe jazz 2010 and its playability and sound very nice I want one!I wish i had the chance to try the 50th anniversary too.I guess that 50th ann would be the point in my life when I lose my mind
  2. Hi everyone, Recently I'm after a good envelope filter and an octaver.Last year in Frankfurt at Musikmesse tried EBS pedals and really loved their sound, but I've heard many good things about MXR and although I never had a chance to try but seriously interested in them as well.Has anyone experienced both branch and can compare them against each other? Cheers

    MXR El Grande
Anyone tried one? I got a Blowtorch a little while ago, but it's not quite what I was after. The El Grande seems to be a bit more up my street. Anything to be aware of, etc?
Hi On you tube Ed Friedland demonstrate many stuff and do an El Grande bass fuzz video as well. Good video, and Ed a really great and helpful guy. Check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6d9YzoCx3w
  4.
I don't normally use pedals, just occasionally my trusty old Aria Chorus, but it died yesterday!! I also tried a Basspod, but hated it... Way too digital and complicated and nothing on the floor to kick! I am thinking of buying a new multi effect, mainly for a bit of chorus, octaver and some echo/looping. I don't really want to spend hundreds, as it don't think I'll get full value from it, what should I buy??
Hi there I use a Boss GT10b and I can tell its absolutely great.Rock solid, tons of useful sounds. All I need recently just a good octaver, auto wah,and distortion sometimes. So I can't use its full potential but it's a fun experimenting with it.Before I bought it I didnt really trust digital sounds but this is great and easy to use.A brand new would cost you around 400£ but second hand you can get it far more cheaper in mint condition.Worth to try it!
  5.
Hi, read this thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=135 It's the big bumper thread about impedance and wattage in relation to amps and speakers. The basschat wiki articles are very good as well. Basically, if both cabs are 8 ohms (total load will be 4 ohms), whatever power your amp puts out at 4ohms will be split equally between the two. The wattage rating on speakers is only to do with their maximum handling capacity and not how loud they are really. So, if you've got an amp which puts out 500w at 4ohms, each will get 250w. All you need to do is make sure the cabs will handle that*. [sub]*Not strictly true, but good enough general rule[/sub]
Cheers my mate,it helps
  6. Hi fellas, Recently I bought an Epifani Ul 410 (8ohms) cab.The basic idea was to build up a good old 410+115 configuration in mono bridge. So I'm after an epi ul115 or ps 115 cab to pair up my 410.But I'm a bit confused because on their website their suggest to use 210 cabs with 115s as they dont have that big differences on power (210 500watts,115 400watts).If pair up my 410(1000watts) with a 115(400watts) I can't get the full power out of 410 cause I would break the 115 But if I check aguilar,eden,hartke,swr,ebs....etc rigs and pics on stage I can find 410 inches cabs with 115s and they also have the big differences on power.Usually 410inches cabs two times stronger than an average 115,and still this rig is one of the most popular. Does anybody use epifani 410+115 (8ohms)configuration,or similar rig?Shouldn't I worry about the power differences if both cabs 8 ohms?If I dont use this rig with full potential (just 400-400watts on each cab) does the 410 still sound great? (Sorry about naiv questions but I always use to have just only one cab and I'm not good at techs.) Cheers
