  1. "Daddy, I need some studio time and like a producer and stuff, I wanna make a music video and like be a star." "Well gee honey that'd be nice but, ahh, see the thing is..." {stamps foot} "I WANT TO MAKE A MUSIC VIDEO AND..." "*sigh* Whatever." {hands over credit card}
  2. Oh how I hate these sort of 'best ever' polls. Music is a way of life, not a f**king competition.
  3. Wow, far out man. I use the silly noises from around 0:29 as my phone's text alert.
  4. Was there a song in there somewhere..? I didn't notice...
  5. Elvis Impersonator: Blackpool Pier - Manic Street Preachers
  6. Go Away - Living Colour
  7. You might chortle, but the despair of running out of gravy granules is all too real for some people. I don't think it's very fair to poke fun at desperate folk who have nothing to pour on their roast dinner.
  8. Written by a certain Mr Brian "Herbie" Flowers...
  9. Baby It's Cold Outside - everyone
  10. Some of my favourite comments on youtube: "Its like ordering Mushroomhead on wish and 3 month later this shows up" "Someone. Somewhere. Has enjoyed this song unironically." "This is what your conservative christian parents think of when you tell them you like heavy metal."
  11. The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword - Van Miseryguts
  12. Well I wouldn't be able to afford my Wal, that's for certain. It would inevitably be a Jazz of some sort -- a Sire or a Harley Barley maybe, the choice these days is staggering and amazing instruments can be had for peanuts. I'd definitely spend more on the amp than on the bass.
  13. From the manual I found lurking online, it appears that the others are 2 heavy-duty 10" midrange emphasised Albion driers. I have to say they come across as very capable. As warwick says, if I'd been able to pick up such a cab at this price when I was young/fit/starting out (and this price is the equivalent of £42 back then..! I paid 100 secondhand for my first 4x12 cab and thought I'd got a bargain), I'd have been all over it like a rash.
  14. Let's call it 60kg then.
  15. Should I Stay Or Should I Go - Clash
  16. Not often you find a new cab that is more pounds weight than it is pounds sterling.
  17. Caravan of Love - Isley-Jasper-Isley
  18. Hence Andy's point. A reissue without the magical pickups would be just another j in a world of j's.
  19. Hot Dog And A Shake - Dave Lee Roth
  20. Another Girl, Another Planet - The Only Ones
  21. Eight Days a Week - Scouse no-hopers
  22. Adhan - Michael Manring
  23. That's a positive... I emailed DR three times about a duff G in the Black Beauties I bought and didn't get a thing in response. Guess who's never buying DRs again? The JHS website shows this as their registered office: John Hornby Skewes & Co. Ltd. Salem House, Parkinson Approach, Garforth, Leeds LS25 2HR, UK. Tel: +44 (0) 113 286 5381 But it also says: "Please note, as TRADE ONLY distributors we do not sell direct to the general public". Will that affect your string issue? From whom did you actually buy them?
