  1. Mack the Knife - Louis Armstrong
  2. Just wanted to share this latest release by my drummer mate Charlie. He wrote, performed, engineered and produced everything except Tammy's gorgeous vocal. He'd be the first to admit that he doesn't have the greatest voice in the world but I love this.

  3. Only bass players could start talking about new instruments and end up talking about floor tiles.
  4. Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue - Ramones
  5. Rock foxes eh? Whatever next. Metal badgers? Reggae weasels? Funky pigeons?
  6. Let It Bee - obscure beat combo
  7. Fish For A Quid - Monkey Boy
  8. Three Cheers for Five Years - Mayday Parade
  9. I first 'discovered' Frost* when they were already 3 albums in. Most annoying was that I was about a month too late for their Bristol Thekla gig. *kicks self repeatedly*
  10. Anywhere - Rita Ora
  11. Oh my word, those woods are gorgeous. Who cares if they affect the tone or not All I can say is, thank god it's only a 4 string or my wallet would be screaming..!

Thanks to this thread and its Vow Wow chat, my earworm all day has been the main riff from 'Hurricane'. Good tune, so I'm not complaining Good album. I always thought they were very underrated.
  14. This is a waste of tim. You clown-whores.
  15. Let Me Go - Heaven 17
  16. A quick image search on Google shows approx 90% of the resultant Washburn Status 1000s to be wearing black knobs. Probably safe to assume that the black ones are stock. Personally I would instantly replace them with gold ones. The collar needs to match the cuffs, as it were. EDIT: great score, by the way. What a beauty.
  17. There are definitely many high-fliers in all genres. I would propose Django Reinhardt as one, certainly -- quite incredible playing, and all despite the fact that he could barely use two of his left hand fingers. But 'greatest'? No such thing. All the 'greatest' this and 'top ten' that and 'best' the other, it's complete cobblers IMO. Music is a way of life, not a bloody competition.

I'm in the crowd on this recording..! Neil Murray was, unsurprisingly, superb with them, but I always felt that Kenji Sano had the better image.
  19. Doo Wop (That Thing) - Lauryn Hill
  20. I Do - Aloe Blacc
  21. You're Wrong - NOFX
  22. Peg - Deely Stan
  23. You've Got Another Thing Coming - Judas Priest
  24. Is it my opinion that I'm overlooking the irony, or is it my opinion that they've annoyed old Miseryguts? I think both of those things are fairly obvious facts!
