    I think mine is also too far gone to be restored to factory. One pickup is dead and the other's not brilliant, only 3 out of 4 tuners work properly, the bridge is damaged albeit functionally ok and the original pots & knobs are long gone. It'd cost a fortune to make it worth money, and I'd rather have fun with it.

    I fitted licenced Ultralites to my V7 fiver. I weighed them and the stock ones, there was half a pound difference. That is a hell of a lot, and yes they helped.

    Excitement here also! Arrived safely this morning and I have to say I am blown away by their quality. Quite incredible. Here's one placed in situ on my bass, already looking a zillion times better than the previous gold vinyl decal. This and Maude's build have got me inspired to restore my bass to good working order. Watch this space.

    Must admit my first thought on opening the thread was "oh FFS, seriously?". Then I watched the OP vid (well, the 45 seconds I could stand), and said it out loud. That Casady bass is its single redeeming feature.

    That's definitely one of the better SC shapes I've seen. Lovely bass. However... just a thought... the ramp (I'm presuming it's homemade?) is a bit scruffy and lets it down a bit. Maybe consider a coat of paint on the ramp, or taking it off altogether for the pics?
