  1. The less said about the interior foam for this case, the better... Thankfully, easily sorted.
  2. Can't afford it, don't need it at all, I already have everything I need. Bought it anyway. headless bass itch well and truly scratched. Series S4000 I believe, serial number is 235... I have no idea how to age it though, any ideas? I had no idea these things were so heavy though! I changed the batteries and one of the connectors fell apart as I unclipped it, so it now has shiny new battery clips but everything else is perfect. Can't wait to wheel it out at a rehearsal.
  3. I would love one of these. I have no gig for it at all, and don't envisage a suitable one any time in the future, so it would basically never leave the house. But I would love one anyway.
  4. Goat To Keep On - Chemical Brothers
  5. This. I know there's no way I could gig a 13lb bass, but it's not my bass, it's yours -- if you're happy to live with the weight because you love the sound, that's all that matters.
  6. Incoming NBD... an itch I couldn't resist scratching, but I fear I might regret it...

  8. Aye. I've seen far better than this on £70 Westfields.
  9. When We Was Flab - George Harrison
  10. Here's a non-FB article. https://blabbermouth.net/news/mercyful-fate-announces-new-bass-player-becky-baldwin
  11. After depping for them last year in the US, Becky has now joined the legendary Danes on a permanent basis. It's fabulous news and I'm totally made up for her -- she actually depped for me in the Destroyers once about a thousand years ago, and since then I've watched her star rising higher and higher, with bands like Hands Off Gretel and Fury. She's a superb, hardworking musician and a tremendous advocate for women in music. https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=927991258690357&set=a.267725878050235
  12. Precisely. I've seen no "hate" here, just differences of opinion. 'Not to my taste' is a million miles from 'hate', and as for "especially on BC", that sound you can hear is me laughing.
  13. Grandad - Clive (been and gone and) Dunn (it)
  14. Damn, you beat me to it. He could have been in a thrash band.
  15. Oh that's a bit harsh, Joe seems like a nice enough bloke.
  16. 2400 bucks and this is the best they could do. That's somewhere between a joke and an insult. Ah well, I'm sure it won't bother the dentists and lawyers who will be the ones buying it to hang on their walls or stick in their vaults.
  17. Well you know what they say about a fool and his money.
  18. Bloody hell. This is stunning. https://fb.watch/pEGsneG2Qd/
  19. I saw a touring Italian Rush trib called 'La Villa Strangiato' last year, they were excellent right up until the guitarist's rig completely went on the fritz. These guys are just as good in every way. If they come to my neck of the woods, I'd definitely go check them out. Hopefully by then the vocalist won't need to crib the lyrics off a tablet. That bass tone is absolutely spot on. As an aside, my first band at school was called 'Emotional Feedback'. We weren't a Rush trib, we just liked the name. I suspect this bunch are rather better than we were.
