  1. Yikes, some of those are really grim. Just checked my Sire ash V7, it's a 2-piece body but the join is right down the middle so it looks a lot better balanced. The grain's not an exact match but it's close enough.
  2. In which case I don't remotely blame you for sending it back. I'd have been a bit miffed if I bought a Squier that looked like that, never mind a £1200 Lakky. (as an aside, IIRC @P-T-P of this parish used to have a Lakky DJ5 in white with maple neck and white pearl pickguard, it was one of the most gorgeous-looking and -sounding basses I've ever laid hands on.)

  8. It's a nice idea, but I'll pass for two reasons. 1, it would have to be at the exact same angle as the pickguard. Even the slightest discrepancy would stick out like a sore thumb. This would make it tricky to fit and I haven't got the patience for that 2, I'd have to cut slots for the height adjustment screws to sit in, or they'd mangle it in seconds. I haven't got the patience for that either

  10. I've experimented with some cheap white Strat knobs and I reckon white is definitely the way to go. Need to find some decent ones now. The only square ones I can find are dice.

Having spent part of the day scratching my head while RTFMing and attempting to set up some patches, I think I'm definitely going to experiment with building this tiny board around the Zoomy gizmo. Yes I know the MS60 has a tuner on board, but I adore my old Korg DT-7 and trust it implicitly. I've yet to do an A/B comparison of the MS60's octave effect against the Boss OC-2, this will dictate whether or not the Boss goes on the board.

Thanks @Osiris, that's exactly what I need to know as you say, it's all just for a live setting where nobody will hear subtle nuance anyway..! I reckon if I make space on a board for a second pedal, then I can use the OC-2 if I need to. Or just leave the space empty. Either way, it's shaping up to be a nice little board.
