1.
Selling an all original basschatter, found it in my uncles loft... has been knocked a few times but still has plenty of life in it. paypal gift only, will courier by means of legs.
I put a talkbass decal on my basschat. Plays like butter. Only ever gigged on a music stand. No TIMwasters plz. Happy birthday y'all.
 2.
No - aluminium isn't heavy enough
Yes, but at that price it's a steel.
 3.

I played on the same bill as Brotherhood of Man a few years ago. The two girls were very nice and friendly but one of the blokes was an incredibly rude and arrogant **** and, having been there for their soundcheck, I know exactly how much of their live sound is actually on their backing tracks...
 4.
What was that? Sorry, I was just looking at some kittens.
5.
I do understand things in life eventually change and at some point gigging will no longer be an option for me. I just want 10 more years.
I love playing and gigging, but my hands are packing up. Arthritis is setting in gradually, my left pinky is already stiff & useless and various others are starting to ache too. It's only a matter of time. I reckon I'll be lucky if I am still able to play in ten years' time. So I'm going to enjoy it while I can.
 6. I'm still trying to work out how Macca and Carol Kaye fit your bill, whereas you are unconvinced by the likes of Prince. I mean, you did originally ask for "famous guitar players who are good bass players", yes? Sir Paul is far better known as a bassist and I don't think anyone could accuse Carol Kaye of being a famous guitar player really. Or am I missing something?
 7. One of the aspects I like about the Line 6 TBP12 transmitter (the metal one) is that its display shows the battery life in hours/mins, which is repeated by an LED bar-meter on the G55 receiver. I doubt that it's going to be accurate to the minute, but it does at least give you an idea whether or not the batteries will last the set.
 8. I'm not keen on the '...tard' bit. I have no problem with taking the p out of gtrists though. It's our duty.
 9. Yes, you're right -- I meant G55 too, not G50. Mine is rackmounted -- together with the rackmount kit it still worked out cheaper than the G90.
 10. Line 6 G55, for reasons stated by others above. Alternatively, and far more cheaply, I'm selling my Trantec S4.5 for a knock-down price...
 11. If I ever for one second found myself thinking "Hmm, that sounds wrong but I'd better not say anything in case I get fired", I'd know for a fact I was in the wrong band and would probably leave anyway.
 12. I used to have an unlined fretless. Loved playing it. My current fretless is lined but that's because it's a defret. Love playing it. Looks-wise it's unlined every time. Playing-wise, there's not much to choose between them. I like that Ibanez/Wal/FBass solution.
 13. Would you be interested in trading your ticket to Mr Jerky Derky's magical prefab of delights for my Sue Ryder P bass, secondhand, mint with some minor axe marks and bloodstains, plays like butter?
 14. 100 Euro was £85 when you typed that. It's £87 now. £88. £91. EDIT. £94.
 15.
Here is mine. 1965 for me - one of the benefits of advancing years is a YOB of good vintage.
Nnnnnice. That'd be my choice too, bass and year. Well i didn't choose the year, but you know what I mean.
 16.
Why James Dean Bradfield isn't given more credit is beyond me. Incredible power and range to his voice, amazing guitarist, and the enviable ability to contort some pretty oblique prose into structured lyrics and strong melodies. I'm a big fan.
Aye. It's a shame Nicky Wire is/can be such an irritating tit though.
 17. They way I see it is: any live music on telly is better than no live music on telly at all.
Is it just me or will the cure and u2 be contacting future islands about their first song tonight?
That fella was fairly, errm, 'earnest' wasn't he? The London Grammar lady has a very nice voice. Song wasn't bad either. Binker & Moses were good but I reckon it'd get tiring after the second tune. Orchestra Baobab I can't really comment on as they really weren't my cuppa char. Blondie -- least said the better.
 18.
wat too much. I saw Incognito for half that, and there twice the band
Having seen both, I do not concur. Still, we all like different stuff innit
 19. Some acquaintances of mine used to have a band called Psychodelia Smith
 20.
Mighty Mite jazz neck with ... a Fender decal
Oh noes! You said the "D" word!
 21. OldGit used to have a Peavey BAM210 combo. It was small but weighed slightly more than Hampshire.
 22. Bear in mind there's a 24% buyer's premium to add to the final hammer price. But even so, yes, some of those estimates are very (deliberately?) low.
 23. I put the decal on my bitsa because for me, it completed the look of it. Care to tell me where the 'snobbery' lies in that? And quite frankly, 'fraud' is not an accusation that should be thrown around lightly.
 24.
Why do you even need more than one string and 12 frets? All the notes you need are there...
Strictly speaking, 11 frets would do...
