1.
Or one of these...
Ooh good call. I've always had a bit of a hankering for an Urge. I suppose you could call it an Urge urge. Ahem.
2. Oh blimey. The cheese scones.
3. If you can track down a pre-enjoyed Yamaha TRB-5P, grab it with both hands. Fantastic instruments.
4.
Put me down for next year now please.
Aye, what he said.
5.
Jabba! Thanks Rich, thats the fella! Agreed the 5 str was sweet! I think he got a couple of orders? 😎
I'm not surprised. If I had spare cash I'd snap that fiver up immediately.
Keep the pictures coming!
Oh, I think there'll be plenty of great pics. Miss Scrumpy spent the whole day snapping away!
6. PRICE DROP - £60 inc shipping Up for sale is my Trantec S4.5 wireless kit. Comes complete with Trantec rack tray, and my homemade remote aerial arrangement complete with brand new stubby aerials. It might look slightly Heath Robinson, but it works a treat and hugely increases the range when the unit is rackmounted. Also includes downloaded manual, jack lead, Trantec power supply, and brand new PP3. Everything you need to get going straightaway. My only reason for selling is that there were a total of 8 (yes, eight) UHF wireless rigs in my band, and we simply ran out of spare frequencies! So to solve the problem, I went digital and bought a Line 6 G55. Looking for [s]£80[/s] £60 posted. A bargain when you consider the rack tray on its own costs 40 quid..! Not really interested in trades, thanks. EDIT: Just to add that the rack tray is NOT permanently fitted -- the receiver is held on by two screws and can be made standalone in the blink of an eye.
7. Setting up Jabba's works of art (oh, that 5 string...) Carlsberg don't make pedalboards, but if they did...
8. Mine is a Tanglewood 'Rosewood Reserve'. Lovelier than a lovely thing, and recommended.
9. Mike, you have a quick PM.
10. G'wan. If your boss complains, tell him we made you do it.

Sean's Feedback

I bought Sean's J&D Jazz for a mate. What an absolutely thoroughly bloody nice bloke, we had a nice chat and he proudly showed me his impressive mint-green rig collection Definitely made the drive worthwhile. This how transactions should be. Hope to meet again some time.

RSH Electronics are another good source. I've dealt with them a few times and their service is very quick. Very reasonable prices and free P&P for orders over £30.
13.
Guitarists = 10 a penny, a good [s]drummer[/s] keyboard player = priceless.
In turn, fixed for you. Last couple of times I've tried putting a project together, it's always ended up with an ivory-tinkler-shaped hole in it.
14. Frost* in Southampton, next Thursday. Can't wait. I haven't been this excited about a gig in years.
15. Funny, that. Whenever someone opines to me that 80s music was boring and crap, I usually give them albums like Rio, World Machine, Bangs & Crashes (Go West) and Radio Musicola (Kershaw) as prime examples of non-boring/crap 80s music. Thank god we all like different stuff, eh?
16. I must be really lucky. In 30 years of playing, all the drummers I've ever played with have been really nice, stable guys.
17. Your local is open all day on a Saturday then?
18. There are quite a few 12"-loaded cabs on the list now. It'll be interesting to see/hear how they compare.
19. Mine started off as a Squier Jazz. It quickly became apparent that the neck was a lot nicer than the (plywood) body. I quite fancied a change and there was a P-shaped hole in my arsenal, so I mooched around on fleabay and picked up a solid wood no-name P body, a Wilkinson pickup, a cream pearl pickguard, a not-entirely-accurate headstock decal and some stick-on vinyl pretend-pearl block 'inlays' for the neck. Add into the mix a beefy bridge and EMG 2-band eq from the spares box, plus a couple of evenings' work, and Bob's your auntie. It weighs a ton but it sounds amazing. I think the pickguard was the most expensive bit!
20. It would have been more fun to pronounce it "Boo".
21. I went to the second national one. Still got the pics somewhere! Yes, it was a bloody good day and I'd be interested in another one in the same sort of area.
