1. I paid £330 for this in 1986. Still got it, and it's going nowhere.
 2. After many years wandering in the stringy wilderness, I've settled on Rotosound nickels, 45-130. I like the feel and the sound, and the longevity is good. I'm trying some similar D'Adds at the moment on the back of the 50% offer, to see how they compare.
 3.
I think I would rather play in my own band than the Stones.
I would rather play in almost any band other than the Stones.
 4. ...zero cents by nature.
 5. Watching it is equal parts uncomfortable and dreadfully saddening. Another talent imploding.
 6. At a recent gig in a Gloucester venue: Apparently it had been going on in much the same vein for half an hour before what happened at 3:04 happened. More detailed story here. Judging by reviews and stories from other venues online, it sounds like he might be self-destructing.
 7. Mike Stern quartet for the enjoyment. Muse for the ££££.
 8.
I know it's an unfashionable point of view, but our brothers in riddim can be a little overlooked sometimes. Now, this may be tongue in cheek, but this is from a website of a band we're supporting soon, band name removed: ****** ****** is an exciting 4-piece indie/rock originals band, comprising of catchy lyrics, beautifully powerful female vocals, thrilling guitar, pumping basslines and a drummer. Couldn't they have thought of anything nice to say about him?
Genuine LOL.
 9.
Then why did you bother asking the question?
Yes, I'm trying to work that out too.
 10. For my money, a d-tuner is probably the single best mod you can make to a 4 stringer.
 11.
always thought Garry Bushell was a massive [s]chancer[/s] bellend
Fixed.
 12. Gentlemen. I would remind you all of the Buyer guidelines, with particular emphasis on no.4:
1. Make sure you exchange contact details with the seller. Get as much as you can – phone number, address, email and full name are essential. Be vigilant of members not offering any details other than their username. 2. If in doubt about a seller's credibility, search the 'feedback forum' to see if they have sold before. Do not accept evidence of eBay feedback as there is no way of proving this is the same person. 3. Have a good look at the member who you are buying from. View their 'profile' to find out how often they are on the forum, how many posts they have made and how long they have been a member. Be extra careful of brand new members with few posts. 4. If you have a concern with the authenticity/originality/provenance/description etc of an item for sale, do not comment on the seller's thread as these comments will be removed by a moderator. If you believe an item to be fraudulent then please PM a moderator and we will do our best to arbitrate - otherwise simply move along. 5. If you believe the price of the item is too cheap/expensive, then please PM the seller as to why. Do not ridicule or undermine the seller by posting how much you think it's worth or how much it can be gotten for elsewhere, the laws of supply and demand will determine if the item sells at that price.

 13. BRX has quite a collection of these weird sisters if my memory serves me correctly. I like this a lot, but skintness prevents me from considering it even briefly
Weight: 5.7kg
12.5lbs. Blige, that must be like wearing a sofa.
 14.
Rather another PF tribute than another Jazz band.
15.
... nor Charlie Watts.
Or David Watts. Or even Curly Watts.
 16.
Thats a 1955/56/57 chevy not a Buick
'57 Chevy 210 4-door sedan I believe..?
 17.
If anything, a Jazz width neck on a P-bass seems to be quite a popular idea, so I reckon you shouldn't have any trouble finding a buyer for the leftover body and neck.
Yup, my bitsa P bass has a J neck. My stupid little fingers prefer pencilnecks.
 18. I like that bluegh Aria, yes even with the stripe. In fact I'd like it less if it was solid colour. For some reason it reminds me of a Ford GT40.
 19.
Plus he doesn`t have the arrogance.
I think this has a major bearing on things. I'm sure an awful lot of us would probably have more time and respect for The Greatest Living Rock Star if he wasn't quite so monumentally & irretrievably up himself.
 20.
I bought some stuff on Thomann today and paid with PayPal. Thomann estimated it at about £176 but I actually paid £183 through PayPal.
...and you can bet your ass Paypal only gave Thomann £176
 21. The way I see it, any list of bassists can be broken down into a few categories. Off the top of my head:

Innovators -- the mould-breakers, taking the instrument in new directions
Influencers -- the "he's the reason I picked up a bass" types
Foundations -- the 'no-nonsense holding down the bottom end with aplomb' types.
Obviously some players will cross boundaries. John Deacon for example is very much a Foundation, but for an awful lot of people he's an Influencer too. Jaco I think we can agree was something of an Innovator, and definitely an Influencer. It could probably be argued that Chris Squire was all three (still seems odd to be talking about him in the past tense). And so on, you get the picture. Might it be worth breaking nominations down into these (or similar) categories?
 22. Dear Mr Mrs Ms or Miss Fatuous Delete Where Appropriate, I was thinking of ordering the 'Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West' package. Is there a 'Thinking about ordering the Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West package' package, and does this mean that I have effectively bought it? Please forward an invoice. Also, having thought about ordering the 'Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West' package, I then had second thoughts. Is there a 'Rethinking the thinking about ordering the Thinking about drinking flat champagne out of a plastic glass in a special VIP area while thinking about Kanye West package package' package, and does this mean that I have effectively bought it? 23.
"Dunno who we think we are etc........" We're the people who pay their wages.
I often get a chicken biryani from my local curry house. Doesn't give me the right to tell them how to run their restaurant though.
