Good god. Just been looking at the shop, the spec says [i]"Fingerboard: polished rosewood or maple with dot markers"[/i] but there doesn't seem to be any way of choosing. If you could definitely get a maple board, I reckon I'd have one in a shot.

Would it not make sense to get your sound as close as possible to how you want it [i]before[/i] it reaches your amp, and just use the rig to do the final tweaking and add the growly stuff?

Around the time the ME50B was first introduced, I too owned an ME6B but thought I'd try the new boy & see what it was like in comparison. I thought it was rubbish. [i]Very[/i] noticeable gaps when changing patches. Crap synths, but about 500 different types of overdrive/distortion. I stuck with my 6B. Sold it a couple of years later, wish I hadn't.
